I set the strap to the right size for my arm easily. The watch updated itself to the atomic clock time quickly. I wasn't going to wait until it's automatic time update, I wanted it to update right away, and the manual taught me how to do it manually. After only 20 minutes, the watch was updated to the correct time and date and I could wear it as normal. The display is so very easy to read with large black numbers on a white background for contrast. In fact I bet anyone standing close to me can read easily it too. I take pleasure in knowing that anyone just glancing at my watch will easily see the right time, every time. Turning on and off the features such as alarm and chimes was easy once I knew how, and again the supplied leaflet gave me all the info I needed. There is a specific sequence of two button presses to enable all its functions and I strongly suggest keeping the instruction leaflet safe, at least until one becomes familiar with the watch. It is said that the watch in not waterproof, and the one time I am likely to forget that is when doing the washing up in a bowl. Otherwise, since it is covered by the waterproof sleeve of my jacket when out in the rain, and since I won't be going swimming with it anytime soon, and since this applies to most watches I have worn, it's not an issue that takes away from the functionality and readability of this excellent watch.

Good value and fairly easy to set up. The volume is better than expected. My only criticism is that when it auto updates the hands have to be adjusted manually, only 1 or 2 minutes.

Bought this for my elderly mother-in-law that wanted a watch with a large easy to read dial.This has a large clear face.The other benefits are:It's radio controlled so should never need adjustingIt has a talking function, ideal at night or any time glasses are not warnIt takes a standard CR2032 battery which are easy to purchaseThe strap is easy to adjust and it's elasticated for a good fitSo far, the only disadvantage is that it isn't waterproof however that's only to be expected at this price.Not sure how long the battery will last, will update the review when it runs out.

Followed the instructions. The verbal time was 1 hour ahead of the actual time and of the time showing on the face of watch. I tried again & left it overnight by a window but still had same problem in morning - it will not synch correctly. So disappointing as watch with soft strap was just what my elderly registered blind father required. Looks like will have to shop at RNIB for a watch that will be reliable for him
