I decided to start taking these after reading the ingredients for some perimenopause supplements. Thinking it would be better to take the supplement at source instead of in a more watered down version.To put into context I am a 40 year old woman who is sure they are going through perimenopause. I have developed adult acne and various other symptoms conductive to perimenopause. I am also autistic, have OCD with probable ADHD. I also take sertraline and mirtazipine.I wanted something to help to ease my symptoms of perimenopause, especially the adult acne.After reading up on perimenopause I discovered that a drop in oestrogen would be the cause in adult acne. I then read that certain supplements increase oestrogen naturally. So decided to take these.After just over a week on them, I have a constant headache, feel like my heart is beating too fast, that my anxiety is through the roof and I’m constantly thirsty. As I said I am autistic and as autism is a neurological disorder, I am used to feeling uncomfortable in my own skin, but this just seems to exacerbate the feeling.Now obviously I understand not everyone is like me, but please please, make sure you do your research. I haven’t sleep very well in days and feel constantly on edge.I have stopped this today and they are going in the bin.As I said I’m sure they are fine for some people, but if you sound anything like me, don’t take them.

Macca is related to vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage and kale and is supposed to aid libido and fertility, boost energy and improve mood, but I started taking Mecca powder as a supplement years ago whilst going through the menopause and found that it helped reduce that horrible drained feeling and brain fog and a few other horrible symptoms. (At least I put it down to taking macca because I did start feeling noticeably better after a week or two using it and my friend going through it at the same time didn't take Macca and suffered a lot longer than I did.) I have kept using it because I actually like the flavour, I add it to smoothies every day. This is the first time I've taken it in tablet from and found that I really prefer the powder. The tablets are hard to swallow and don't taste of anything so I'm really disappointed with them. They might provide the same benefits as the powder but I'm going to stick with my favourite .
