It keeps the contents hot even after the stove starts dropping temperature, holds tea leaves safely inside the mesh "basket" and looks beautiful into the bargain.

I bought the green and gold cast iron teapot for my tea loving friend's 50th birthday. I'm sure they will be really pleased. I'm impressed with the design, modern yet traditional. I love the woven string which attaches the lid to the top. A good size for 3-4 mugs of tea. I'm hoping someone buys one for me!

I love cast iron - it is a lifelong investment. This teapot is sturdy and beautiful and allows a sharing pot when sharing tea with friends.

Beautiful colour and weighty as it should be. No instructions on use... ? Can it be used on gas or electric cooker. Does say can rust... but no directions as to what to do if that occurs. I still like it... not sure how long it will last as tea pot!!

This teapot is really magnificent.Of course is heavy, but doesn't feel too heavy like some of the more traditional "all black with tiny dots" teapots feel like, it has a lovely decor, and it is all enameled inside.We used it immediately and plan on learning how to ensure it stays as wonderful as it is, and if it will need sealing in a traditional way, we shall do so.

The handle is a bit different, with a plastic wrap instead of the wrapped one in the picture. Otherthan that is looks exactly like in the picture. It's in solid cast iron, the color is spot on and the packaging was great. There was even a little linen table cloth with it. Recommend it!Oh and it also kept warm for much longer than a porcelain teapot would.
