It is not easy to understand the instructions and certainly not easy to figure out how to use it. I also thing that the plastic and it's boring very color looks bit tacky. Not impressed!

I have fans all over my home to help combat the hot flushes that someone of my age encounters, which are particularly bad during the hot weather that we are experiencing. This fan is great for the bedroom because if I need to turn it off during the night, I just have to place the fan face down, rather than fumble around for a power switch. It is also a good size to fit on my small bedside cabinet.The fan is definitely very quiet on the lowest setting, but when you turn it round to achieve the faster setting, there is an element of noise, although I don’t find it distracting.The lowest fan setting is adequate for me at night and the charge lasts through to the morning (approx. 7 hours) on this lower wind speed.The light is a good addition but I don’t find that I need to use it, so that means I am saving all of the battery power for the fan.The only drawback I found with not having a switch, is that you have to store the fan face down when you initially put it away, because if stored in any other position, the fan will continue to operate until the battery runs flat.I have, however, kept the little battery insulation tab that was initially placed in the back of the fan and I am able to replace it in order to prevent the fan from working if it is stored on its side.I think that the current price of £7.99 is very reasonable for this rechargeable fan.

Well this is a weird thing….. so weird that it is almost a bit scary.Once you have removed the battery guard, this fan seems to have a life and will of its own. The “instructions” are absolutely minimal, so you learn how it works through trial and error. Basically, whichever way you stand it, a different mode kicks in. As you rotate this circular fan it goes through gentle, medium, strong, colourful etc. – all quite effective (if you ever need a light in your fan). One drawback is that there are only two positions – upright or tilted at a prescribed angle. Most fans can be adjusted more flexibly.However, the scary bit comes when you want to turn it off. It has to lie flat, which is fine if it is on a desk top or bedside table, but if you decide to store it in a cupboard and it topples slightly, it switches itself on. And it is impossible to carry it around in your bag or luggage. Imagine going through a baggage check with it…. switching on and off as your bag moves.This seems like an innovative idea, but it isn’t quite thought through and ends up being impractical. Give me a switch so that I can feel in control.

People who say this fan has a mind of its own simply do not how to use it. The instructions do not do a brilliant job, I must admit. However, the legs of the fan create 5 sides it can sit on. Each side is labelled with the corresponding function. The five functions labelled on the sides are: High fan, Medium fan, Low fan, Medium fan with flashing light, low fan with continuous light. That's it. The labels are clear. Stand it on the side of the function you want, and it works perfectly. Can do 90 degrees or 45 degrees angle, so it's perfect for a work desk, bedside table or coffee table even. Put it face up and it will turn off. Put it face down and it will also turn off.The cool thing about this fan is that it can both charge and function which is in my opinion unique at this price point. Usually, things stop working when they charge but with this fan, you can leave it connected and it works great. I saw a comment saying if you stand the fan, the USB port becomes inaccessible. This is completely untrue and false. It can charge and work with ease.The airflow on the high setting is excellent for a fan of its size. I got a handheld fan and this one easily beats it.Overall, I would definitely recommend this. The design is very functional and extremely easy to use. I would describe it as innovative. It has good airflow. It is quiet. It has USB C. It has a great price. It ticks all the boxes for me.

The main "feature" of this fan is the novel user interface - instead of using a button to turn it on and off you rotate the whole unit, and it will either have a fan of different speeds or LED colours depending on its orientation. This is a cool / interesting gimmick, but honestly it would be so much better if it just had a button like a normal fan!First of all, the labels for each of the orientations are not right so you have to guess which way to turn it to get the desired effect. Second of all, it's annoying to store / turn off as it could turn back on again if it gets tipped. Thirdly, due to the shape of it it's always at a fixed angle, and for me it was hard to position it so that it was blowing on my as desired.The fan works reasonably well but it's so annoying to use I've switched to another fan. It does look kind of cool though.
