As technology is moving on, I am finding more that I am ending up with lots of different types of USB cables, so I needed something to deal with the plugging devices in problem at home and mainly in my dog rescue van/camper. I got these 3 adapters to try as these are the types of sockets that I mainly have on my different device fast running cables.So far, I find them great for fast speed charging and fast when doing data transfers (Up to 480 Mbps), they seem to be 10 times faster than the standard USB 2.0 adapters that I have tried in the past.Please note that these do not support HDMI, VGA, DP and other video signal transmission.I find the build quality excellent; they seem to be made from a great high quality aluminium alloy body giving them reliability and great durability.Like a lot of newer devices these days, these adapters are Plug and Play so no drivers needed, simply plug the adapter into your computer then simply plug in things like your headphones and away you go. USB Type C connectors are fast becoming the de facto standard nowadays. However, if you are like me, you'll likely have quite a few legacy products that have a USB Type A female socket. And these are where these USB Type C to USB Type A adapters come in extremely handy.For example, I have numerous 3 pin plug wall sockets with integrated USB TYPE A female sockets (see photo). With so many products now supplied with cables bearing a USB Type C male connector, I obviously needed an adapter to stop these wall sockets becoming obsolete. These Mepsies adapters are ideal. They are unobtrusively small, and serve the purpose perfectly (see photo).Note: when plugging in the male USB Type C connector, you can clearly here a click when it is fully engaged. This stops it from slipping out.As an added bonus, you get four adapters with each single order.

The world is moving to USB-C plugs and sockets - which is (mostly) a great thing, not least because you don’t get the ‘which way round does it go’ dilemma you get with USB-A plugs. However, the majority of USB power supplies typically have a USB-A socket so you really need a handful of these adapters.There is a downside to USB-C - the same plug format covers a number of different power strengths and uses - the same format is used for Thunderbolt 3 & 4, DisplayPort 1.2 as well as USB-4.Most of these newer formats are not compatible with USB-A even with the adapter so don’t expect the humble and aging USB-A socket to offer these modern speeds and functions.Having said that, these adapters are solid, useful and good value.
