YAMAHA EZ300 my best buy of the year
I bought the EZ300 a few weeks ago and found this product very well made and solid. The sound quality is very good and the instruments sound like the real thing. The learning feature is perfect for complete beginner like me i have never plaid a keyboard in my life, but i find so easy to follow the learning mode and lighting keys. I can recommend it. money well spent
Amazing! I could play a pop song in less than 30 mins
Its big but light weight. It has excellent sound which you can really feel. The keys are average but not cheap. The layout is clear and smart though could be simpler. The range of teaching songs is small but fun. I wish for more.Im sure if I knew what I was doing it be even better.A fantastic teaching product for beginners. An awesome gift too!
Great, complicated, versatile, amazing piece of kit
Bought it to learn to play key board, bit it's like buying an Aston Martin to learn to drive. So many. Voices, instruments, buttons, codes etc. manual is quite complicated to understand and there are symbols on the keyboard I can find no reference to. Maybe.a course in mind reading would be good.I'm guessing I aimed a bit to high in my bid to learn, so currently awaiting a visit from the Arch Angel Gabriel or some other visitation to help wade through the system. I imagine it is perfect for those who actually know what they are doing, bit at 64 I probably should have stuck to a stylophone or similar gizmo. But it is certainly something to keep you entertained for hours and better than a mobile phone or farcebook etc.....
Well worth it, superb sound
Not like me to be so postive about a product as I am normally very fussy and always find fault. In regard to the sound it is absolutely fantastic esepcially the Portable Grande sound and after a neighbour had ago on it, he can play, could not believe an keyboadr could produce such vibrant and clear piano sound. I many years ago took up the flute and on choosing the Flue, shout my eyes and truly beluive it was coming from my flute years ago. Still trying out the many sounds and I doubt with the few years I have left (I am 69) will pay them all. I am ex IT so I am into functionality and this device has plenty of that, over the lasy 6 weeks been studying music theory and this 'beast' looks like it can do so much, esepcially producing Chords with one key and accompanient. Now the bad, the training option which is really 'pathetic' primarily the screen to show what notes to press is too small, and the instructions to use the red lit keys is very badly written. I once was a teacher and in the past have written curriculum materials and I doubt very much, very few people stay with it's teaching facility. Fortunately there are a ton of very good Youtube videos which makes up for primarily buying it for the teaching aid.
Best keyboard for a beginner
Dislikes - colour / sound could be better / only 61 keys / non weighted keysLikes - lots of features / keys that light up that can help with learning / price / great funHaving done my research this seemed to be the best keyboard for a beginner. Price point allows you to buy something decent but if the person gives up no to much money wasted. Very happy with the purchase and the price on Bolo was great.if the person knows they will take up piano then weighted keys and a full size board are much better but you will pay for that.you get a 3 month subscription to flow key when you register.
Yamaha keyboard
Was just too big for my needs so had to return it, but this is definitely worth the purchase. Sounds were outstanding, a must buy if you like a large keyboard
A splendid up grade to the EZ220
The Ez300 has al the qualities of my highly respected EZ220 plus a significant number of additions to the specification. It has been made into rigorous learning machine and the world of piano is opening up to me.
As my first keyboard it’s a big disappointment
This review is for the ez-310 the newest model. This new version is not as good as the ez300.ProsIt’s lighter than the ez300It’s smaller keyboard than the ez300It’s weighs less than the ez300It has more sounds than the ez300The speaker grills are hard plasticConsThe keys clunk like you wouldn’t believe when I’m playing quietly all you can hear is the plasticky keys clunkingThe numbers on the number keys are almost invisible - so quickly selecting sounds or tunes is a painThe song list on the ez300 was huge and lots of well known songs - ex310 has 12 good tunes and 100 + boring tunes. The build quality is rubbish - really feels like a toy keyboardIt’s madly over complicated for a ‘beginner’ keyboardThe helpful song list and tone list have gone - now you have to scroll through all the sounds (unless you can remember all the songs/sounds - but who can?)If I could have got the ez300 I would have - this ez310 is disappointing for a beginner.
