The media could not be loaded. So after waiting 7years to be able to get a Dimplex opti mist I finally was able to buy one. So you can imagine my upmost disappointment and disbelief when I opened the box, took out the fire and at the bottem on the packing was a screw. On investigation where this could have come from I found two legs not secure, a third almost tight and one I was actually happy with. I'm quite a forgiving person so I tried my best to put the screw back but to no avail. All the self tapping screws are just screwed into really thin metal so once they are loose forget it, they just turn with nothing to grip onto. If using thin metal why not use nuts, washer and bolts for goodness sake! As I was picking it up to pack away for return the foot came off completely. All I can say is thank goodness I wasn't actually using it at the time and not returning it.Pure cost cutting at its worst. Now am a really peeved off customer who very rarely puts down a bad review, who will have to wait again to get a fire, its even started to put me off dimplex. To be honest you pay quite alot of money just to get steam looking like a fire but I really did like them.

Bought this fire at a good price and it provides a realistic flame effect and good heat (once you've mastered the controls). Instructions for putting the pieces together (water sump etc.) are not very clear; there is a connection to plugging in one part (the nozzle) but, unfortunately is not not easy to see and, moreover, it easily becomes loose, so you need to hold onto to it so that it doesn't fall back into the recesses of the fire, for it can be awkward to recover. There is also a small brush to clean that part except my brush is lying at the bottom of the fire and is inaccessible (I've cut my finger trying to retrieve but you can live without it, the brush). But once you have the fire up and running it's fine (so far), though you need to refill the tank every 3 or 4 hours if it's in constant use, but you can do that quite quickly. One irritating thing is that the fire comes with a white lead (so that no-one might be fooled that it is a real fire? Why a white lead with a black fire?) and it is too short (shorter than one with the Dimplex it is replacing), so I have had to use an extension lead (which Dimplex does not recommend but seems amazingly ignorant that its lead might be too short). Overall a good buy but with free irritants.

We can't have a log fire, and have searched for a fire to give us the extra heat aswell as effect of a fire.We brought a few styles and all had faults.This fire is fabulous, it looks great, is the perfect size and easy to clean and maintain and we don't find the noise of the fire loud, especially in a busy chaotic home.We had a missing handset but Bolo customer service was great and although we had a replacement sent out by the manufacturer it still doesn't work.This doesn't make much issue for us and we may try and purchase a handset at a later date.We absolutely love this Dimplex fire!

Pretty poor I suspect this i a chinese fake. I have had three of these fires over the years, The first one caught fire but the other two were fine. The build quality of the first few was very good and the smoke/flame effect is really good. So I thought I would buy another one. I actually like the stove but the build standard is absolutely the minimum you could do. I tightend some of the screws and had an electrician check it out and he said it was OK. The Dimplex customer service was terrible last time I tried them but other companies sell the spares..... In case you are interested the thermostat failed on our first one and the stove started to melt and burn, But our smoke alarm saved the day. I thought after all these years they would of got better. I was wrong. Great too look at fr the flames but basically very dissapointed.
