Does what it says on the box
This is easy to use and just looks cool. If youre using a helmet cam and want to see exactly what youre filming then this remote is perfect.I also use it to record on both my x5 and ace pro 2 at the same time
Not bad for used - like new
I ordered the used - like new. Well the box was in mint condition but on opening it the strap was absolutely dirty, they could've cleaned it up.The device battery was flat as a pancake so took a while before I could test it.Apart from that the unit works great so far, but only had it less than 24 hours. Did a test ride with remote and my insta360 x4 and synchronised brilliantly.
Not Fit For purpose
This is my second unit, after I sent the first one back as er sent any gps data to the x5, this one is even worse, and it won’t even connect. As well as that, according to the instructions the connection should be simple, but it just doesn't work, and the menu and settings on the camera, the unit and particularly the app are a complete nightmare, so convoluted, what’s the complete opposite to user friendly? I love my X5, but this unit is not fit for purpose. It should have never been released in its current state.

I am very pleased with my purchase and the super-fast dispatch and courier service. Arrived in perfect condition and well packaged for transit.I bought this to mount on my motorbike for use during a recent tour of Switzerland. It was difficult to connect, the information screen text was so small I couldn't read it, and I couldn't operate the remote control whilst wearing my motorbike glove. Therefore, it was an absolute waste of £150 as I couldn't use it. I think it would be a useful addition in many uses, but I would not recommend it for motorbike or similar vehicle use.Made from good quality materials and comes with a wrist and bar-attaching silicon straps.
Failed after just 4 months
Bought in March 2025. Used approx 5 times and now won't turn on or charge. Contacted insta and now have to send back to Hong Kong for them to assess.Unbelievable that they have no UK service facilities. Hard work to sort out a return also and have to do so at my expense
Only works with ace pro and X4 camera
It doesn't work with insta360 x3 not yet anyway

It's a nice and useful tool to have, compliments the equipment well (when it works) but the fact that it does not have a USB Type C to charge is disappointing if not frustrating...
Fernsteuerung mit GPS
Äußerst angenehm überrascht. Fernsteuerung funktioniert Tip Top auf ganz normalen Entfernungen, dass GPS zeigt zudem zb in Lightroom absolut exakt den Standort an! Bin begeistert! Auf den nächsten Reisen ist das Teil auf alle Fälle dabei!
