Well, what do you expect from a DIY yourself protein shake.Mix’s well with water (Buxton)Tastes lovelyWish they could make a bigger tub, man’s hands trying to reach in and on scoop, and will be more of a challenge as I use it up.Works out roughly £1 for a 200ml (2 scoops) per serving.20 servings.I’ll be getting another… tempted to try chocolate. I had the vanilla one. Even threw a banana in to the mix on one serving. That too was tasty and full of additional nutrient given the banana offering.I have been getting two tubs at a time (700g) and tipping them in to the empty HIT5 Carb DIY drink container of 1600g. This solution works well.I have emailed HIT5 directly to encourage them to make a bigger container offering :)Less packaging same price… makes sense right? Bigger opening too for those with bigger hands :)

Whilst, in my opinion, this is a little pricey …. I know there are plenty of other powders a lot more expensive. Tastes great, easy to mix in smoothies, drinks and even into deserts. Quality is good and I really don’t notice the texture as it blends in well.

I use a lot of protein powder, typically bought in bulk from various sources and vanilla happens to be my favourite flavour so I jumped on this when it popped up in the Vine programme.So the pros: it tastes good, very strong vanilla flavour, but I mix it in with yoghurt and berries and other things, and it doesn’t overpower everything. Product comes across of good quality.The cons: prohibitively high cost for the long run, there are not eve three weeks worth of powder in this giant plastic tub (why is the tub so massive?!). You’re looking at a lot of cost over a year if you rely on this, you can do the math. Just not worth it from my experience with whey protein supplements over the past five years.Just to make it clear, and you’ll see by reading the ingredients on this product and all similar whey protein supplements…basically whey protein is milk. You’re paying a lot to have the watery stuff left over from cheese making dehydrated and powdered.

You can do the maths yourself, this will be things that you're comparing regularlyIt claims to have 60 g of protein per 100, or per 35 g scoop, 21 grams. This is about average, perhaps a little less, because strict way tends to have slightly smaller serving sizes of 30 g, with a little more proportional protein. I have the 700 g tub, which is the classic size for easy transport. It has a best before until 2026.You can see from the photo that it blends really well in my shaker.I am writing this review while tasting it currently, and I mixed it with water. They suggest putting two scoops into 200 ml of water, however I found that really thick and difficult to drink. I used one scoop of 35 g in 300 ml of water. This will affect the flavour profile.I would prefer to drink two lots of 35 g in 300 mil compared to 70 g in 200 ml because it was just far too thick and honestly I could do with the water intake as well.The taste is chocolatey, and in my diluted version it of course tastes more dilute, and taking this into account, there are no bad aftertaste, no bad scent, no weird bitterness or sweetness or saltiness, just plain simple boring chocolate.And honestly I love that, I've had all sorts of different flavours of the years, and most recently I tried some funky fruity ones. And they're all horrific after the first sip. Protein powder shakes are not meant to be cocktails, you want them to recover after your workout, and it needs to be easy to drink and easy to digest. This seems to take those boxes for me.The only annoying thing is like with every protein tub, it's impossible to find a scoop, so until I find that to the surface, using my old 35 gram scoop.

Thought I'd give this a try and I found it really nice, I have a shake about 30 minutes before exercise and it tastes lovely. High quality, good price. Definitely recommend.

Review for HIGH5 Whey Protein Powder:The flavour is very very tasty- really chocolatey.I mixed the recommended amount : 2 scoops powder, with 200ml of water. However I found this a bit too thick for my taste and added approximately 50ml more. This did not affect the taste too much, in my opinion.My son has added some of this protein powder to batter, to make protein pancakes and again I can say the taste was lovely and chocolatey.As for the amounts of protein, I am not a nutritionist, so you will have to do that research yourself. What I can say is that the powder mixes very well, the taste is great and you get a good amount for the price.Overall, I’m very happy with this protein powder and I would recommend it.
