I'm not medically qualified, so I'm unable to make specific claims about the effectiveness of this supplement for any particular health issue, but I can say it is reputed to help with various things, including blood flow, stamina and eye health. Beetroot is also scientifically acknowledged to contain a high concentration of antioxidants.You'll need to do your own trusted source research on all of this, and make up your own mind. What I can say is that since starting to take these, I have noticed that my blood pressure has decreased, which I can confirm from using a calibrated blood pressure monitor each day, to check it. Coincidence? Who knows. But I will be continuing to take a beetroot supplement. This one seems to work, and it's good value, too.Why am I awarding four stars instead of five? Well, I do prefer to take supplements that are made here in the UK. This one gives contradictory information, and does not actually say where it originates. The packet says "non EU agriculture" and the listing states "sourced in the EU". So, I assume Alpha01 purchased their beetroot powder from an EU supplier, who sourced it from outside the EU. But from where? Some countries that grow it have much lower pollution standards than others, and I like to know where my supplements hail from.

I'm going to be honest and say that I have absolutely no idea why I should take these beetroot extract capsules. There's nothing in the listing about the reasons or benefits of taking them. Only a description of beetroot itself, which states:Known for its sweet and earthy flavour, Beetroot is a diverse vegetable that can be eaten raw, cooked, pickled or blended into smoothies. As I do actually enjoy cooked beetroot, I'll continue to eat the actual vegetable instead of swallowing capsules for the sake of it.
