5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to read, quick to use
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } With the current state of the world, more and more people are taking their health out of big pharma and into their own hands. This is an empowering journey and well worth the energy! Tests like these facilitate our ability to diagnose or at least direct our needs at home. The test is very straightforward and quick to carry out. A simple strip to dip in a urine sample, you just check the colours against the box for an instant reading. The results are super clear. Ideal for checking in on my health or in response to symptoms. Very good value too.
3.0 out of 5 stars A bit confusing and I'm uncertain of the results.
In my box you got 2 tests, not 1 as stated on the product page. Which is just as well. It says you can take the test anytime and I've been drinking tonnes of water today as it's hot outside and the test result said that the urine was very diluted and to try again in 2 to 3 hours. These tests are expensive so if I'd only had one I'd have been furious. But then I did the next test in the morning and got the same result. Which then said I should see a doctor. To use you need to pee in something like a bowl, lie the trip in it for 30-60 seconds and then hold the strip against the back. You then compare the results to the chart in the instructions. The big problem here is the numbers on the creatinine test on the pamphlet don't match the creatinine numbers in the instructions. So I have no idea whether that's good or bad. See the photos. If you're worried about your kidneys I'd be inclined to see a GP first and foremost. I have no way of gauging how accurate these are against a doctor's test either so can't say whether they work properly or not. As I result I can't vouch for them wholeheartedly. I had these tests done at the doctors a few months ago and all was fine. According to this test I need to see a doctor but I have no symptoms and feel fine so I have no idea if these are accurate.I received this free of charge to review as part of the Vine Programme. Would I spend my own money on it? No. I worry about the creatinine numbers and the reliability of he results. Also they're expensive for 2 strips. Not blown away by these.
1.0 out of 5 stars Not accurate
You get 2 in a box but I only needed to do 1 to know it wasn't accurate. My test said I needed to see a GP, so I did and the kidney test there came back normal. I threw the second test away, it had me worrying over nothing.
1.0 out of 5 stars Very, very expensive for one kidney test strip.
Within this Kidney Test Kit from getTested is one test strip. That’s one kidney test strip for £19.00. I’ve just looked at alternatives on Bolo and the first one I saw, I didn’t look for the cheapest or the most expensive, was £6.99 for 10 kidney test strips. 10 Strips that each do exactly the same thing for £6.99 that getTested are trying to get people to pay £19.00 for one.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not worth buying, see your GP instead since you'd need to anyway
This is far too tricky to read and get meaningful data from that can inform your decision to see a GP. You're basically stuck comparing a thin strip of card that looks like a litmus test (not saying it is one) to see which colour most closely matches their card. It's like trying to match a paint sample to a colour book only with much smaller samples only a few mm wide.I honestly had no idea what why my results were at the end, and most of the results you can get amount to, 'Go and see your doctor for a check up' anyway. As per a little research, they don't use these to diagnose you at the doctors or GP, they use much more accurate tests that tell them what they need to know.As a result I'd suggest if you think you should test this, and have not been advised to do so by a GP who is using the data for monitoring or similar, just cut through the bureaucracy and go and see your GP. There are plenty of medical conditions that can be monitored or tested with relative ease at home, this doesn't seem to be one, at least, not with this style of test.
Einfach anzuwenden, aber teuer
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Der Test ist einfach anzuwenden, aber wenn das Ergebnis nicht im "grünen" Bereich liegt, sollte man trotzdem zum Arzt gehen um eine professionelle Meinung einzuholen.
