This is ace. My 8 year old soj bought this with birthday money and I've been playing with it non stop 😆Rechargeable so no need to worry about batterys. The range of movement,speed and firing makes this an awesome toy.My son loves it.Definitely recommend

My boy really appreciated this for his 8th birthday, though I'll admit right from the start that he's not allowed to use the ammunition indoors. It's a bag of tiny pin heads that swell up after you leave them in water for a few hours. At that point they turn into Flubber and ricochet all over the house at the slightest touch. They are also so slippy I can't pick them up and they explode if I dig a fingernail into one. 8 out of ten of them shatter when fired out of the cannon and there is a mode where the tank spins round shooting them randomly.The tank is pretty fast and makes revving, gear change sounds as an alternative to the music. The firing action produces a gunshot noise and the tank recoils. Aiming involves strafing like in the old Doom video game.I like that there is a spare rechargeable battery for the toy. You need to supply your own batteries for the controllers, but they'll no doubt last a lot longer than the tank battery.In my case the wrist controller worked well. It didn't pair at first, but I just switched both items off and on in different orders and soon the light was flashing at a different speed and the controller was working. It senses how you tilt your hand and I imagine with a bit of practice someone could get quite good at using it.We liked it.

The first challenge is setting things up. Three different batteries are required - the tank takes special ones, two of which are supplied - you need to unscrew a flap underneath the tank and then a very fiddly operation to attach the battery - took me about 5 mins to line up the pins because everything is so small.The remote takes 2xAA batteries, not supplied and the hand controller takes 2xAAA batteries also not supplied.I looked for instructions and there are none, or rather the instructions are small hard to see image on the side of the packaging - see photo.Anyway - the remote is easy enough to play with - the tank moves pretty fast although it can only cope with flat surfaces. You can steer left/right, or slide left/right. You can have music going and it has colourful lights, and you can fire.I was excited to try out the gesture remote, so strapped it on, it's a very poor design - it's huge across the back of my wrist so difficult for a child, and the finger control designed to slide over a 1st finger, has the button on the BACK of it which you can only press with the other hand. Bizarre placement. But moot anyway because aside from showing me some red lights, the controller did nothing. I tried switching batteries to brand new alkaline ones, and nope - still nothing.At this price range I'd expect more in the way of instructions - there's a video in the advert which gave me clues on what the wrist controller should do and how to wear it, but that should be in with the toy.

The tank has LED lights on the side and front and plays music, which can be turned off. The tank is pretty speedy and makes revving, gear change sounds too.It comes with a pack of 10,000 blue-coloured water bullets, which, similar to Orbeez.It works better on flat surfaces, not great going across the lawn. Better used in door sbut then when the water bullets splash you may have to be careful and now slip on anythingI like that there is a spare rechargeable battery for the toy. You need to supply your own batteries for the controller. You need 2 x AA batteries needed for the remote control, or 2 x AAA batteries for the gesture control remote. its a bit of a fiddly operation to attach the rechargeable battery.makes for a good toy / gift
