I’m not much of a crib person. I got this bassinet for our first baby boy. Excited to use it soon. Beautiful color.
Difficult to assemble! Instructions NOT helpful!
This KOOLABABY Bassinet & Bedside Crib with Height Adjustment & Wheels feels sturdy and is a lovely blue for a boy or a girl. Assembling this bassinet was time-consuming and frustrating! It took three intelligent people trying to figure out the proper setup of this grrrrr item. Terrible instruction manual. Some of the sentences wereruntogetherandtookextratimetofigureout. When all is said and DONE, it is a beautiful bassinet!
A lot to like but one concern
There is a lot to like about this bassinet! It is easy to put together and take apart even though I did not find the directions that helpful -- it is a pretty easy design to put together by just looking at the picture of the bassinet online (not the drawn one in the directions). The cover unzips around the top rail on one side and then on the other side can be slid off so the cover could be washed. The storage area underneath is so handy if you are moving the bassinet around to different rooms. The mesh sides make it easier to see baby and are more breathable. The wheels lock. It feels sturdy and well made. A lot to like but my one concern is the portion below the zip down side part where the zipper stops there is a 20" x 7" section that has a soft white material sewn over the mesh on the inside of the bassinet. In between the mesh and this soft white material is what feels like a sturdy piece of plastic. My concern would be if the baby's face were to get too close to that plastic and breathe in the carbon dioxide he exhaled. I have not seen this design before in a bassinet and can find no mention of it in the directions or online description. I am thinking maybe it is to give support when used as a co-sleeper with the roll down side. I do not intend to use this as a co-sleeper just as a bassinet so I plan to unstitch the white lining piece and remove the sturdy plastic(?) insert for my peace of mind. Other than this concern, I am really happy with this bassinet.
So pretty
This bassinet is so pretty! I love the color! It was easy to assemble even though the directions were a little hard to follow.The fabric is very light and gets dirty easily. Even putting it together I somehow got the storage basket fabric dirty and had to spot clean it. I am glad the fabric is removable so you can clean it, but it says to hand wash only and I'm not sure how clean this will get with hand washing over time.
