I bought a second Xbox x console and needed to buy a second external g]hard drive. After spending quite a few days looking for the right one I bought this 8TB external hard drive. I bought the same make because my first one is still working very well. This is easy to use, just plug it in and the Xbox series x recognises the hard drive and instantly requests to go through a formatting sequence. One completed you up and running to download all the games you need. I went for a larger 8TB hard drive because the size of the new games being made takes alit of memory. I recommend on the side of buying a larger memory rather than what you think you might need. Thus was you less likely deleting games until you need to download load later.This is a really good make and I know this will last just as long as my first one that’s still working very well. I would recommend this for any Xbox console owners. The price might be a hit high but you know you’re getting quality equipment. Don’t buy something on the smaller memory.

Works straight out of the box once formatted to PS5. Now all PS4 games are installing directly to the drive without any request to do so or needing to move them. Those ganes then run seamlessly from the drive

Very, very good. It works perfectly. I want to point out that the storage SSD is a good way to store games. I didn’t know this until I tried to play Flight Simulator 2020 on the SSD, which didn’t work due to it being X/S supported, so I still have to play from my internal storage, but I THINK it will work if you get a Storage Expansion instead of an SSD and you should be able to download the addons for any game especially Flight Simulator if you want to download 1TB+ of content while playing on the storage expansion but don’t take MY word as LAW it is USER EXPERIENCE

Gamertag- SJR51GAMEROk so 1st thing is don’t get 1tb version , get 512gb or 2tb , as many on YouTubers have done transfer speed tests noted that 1tb is not able to reach 6Gbps transfer speed like the other 2 cards from Seagate as they are the newer versions . So I got the 2TB card.Yeah it’s expansive but it’s not suited for everyone. The thing is that this is not a storage solution , there are cheaper options available to solve your storage issue. Usb 3.0 hdd could provide you with reliable storage solution for way cheaper price. Transfer speed would range between 60-90 mb/s (as xbox shows approx 600-900 Mbps) Any kind of ssd which connects to xbox via usb will give transfer speed of max 1.5Gbps. At this option it reaches the usb speed limit (if I’m correct).The Xbox storage expression cards is only for those who value time more over everything else. So basically it’s for those who can’t wait for the transfer to complete and then play the game. Like those who get just a little time to play games but have a lot of games and want the freedom to play the game they feel like playing right then and there.I have an old Seagate 2TB hdd that I used since Xbox One. It still works perfectly but as I get older I don’t get much time to play games and so I don’t want to spend the little time I get to play in waiting for the game to complete the transfer of the game from external to internal storage as the games now days are getting bigger and bigger. So instead of waiting I choose to get the card and just keep the games in the card and play directly from the card.Now I don’t store games in the internal storage just to be safe and keep everything at one place.Features1.
