For that price it was a steal, and well worth the money. In hindsight, would certainly pay more for it than that.My daughter was 5, nearly 6, and absolutely delighted with this. I think it would be a great gift for any child who's old enough to appreciate the "magic" of their puppy appearing in the empty kennel, but young enough to still enjoy playing with soft toys. "Building" the kennel involves "hammering" a plastic nail into a hole, but in reality it just needs pushing in: it's easy to do and not something that limits the age range for the toy.What you get is an empty plastic kennel with a name plate, nail and hammer. The child writes their puppy's name on the name plate, then hammers it into the kennel, whereupon a secret hatch in the ceiling opens and a soft puppy toy drops into the kennel. They open the door and ta-da their puppy has arrived.The build quality is very good and far better than I'd expected, especially at the price. The plastic is "nice" plastic, not the brittle cheap stuff that is in so many toys. The dog is is an unremarkable but decently-made soft toy. The mechanism to open the secret compartment was robust: the kennel is packaged with a removable clip to enure the puppy doesn't fall out prior to purchase, but even after you remove this there's no danger of accidentally triggering the door until the nail is pushed into place (it doesn't really need hammering, but the hammer is a nice touch).The secret door is discrete: my kids didn't suspect it was there until we had repeated the "reveal" a few times and my 10 year old took a close look. Once open the door remains hanging down and be seen in the kennel, but it's pretty discrete and simple to click back into place whilst the child is distracted by the puppy.The door can be reset and re-activated any number of times, and anything hidden in the secret compartment, so what I thought would be a one-trick pony actually has a lot more play value.I can't really fault this, particularly not at the price I paid. I had pretty modest expectations and have been very pleasantly surprised by how good it is. Once it arrived and I'd inspected it, I immediately bought two more as gifts for other children, which is I think a pretty good recommendation.

My 3 year old loved this, he really enjoyed the initial surprise but he’s also really enjoyed resetting and doing it over and over! He also likes putting other items into “the attic” and acting surprised when they pop out. The teddy is very cute, he’s named it pancake.

The size of this is deceiving as the same brand has other houses which are bigger for not much more. It’s really good quality but the larger version hides that the dog falls out of the ceiling better and it was a little too easy to hammer in and make it happen which ruined the mystery for my 5 year old. I would still buy it again as my 3 year old found it fascinating.

Adorable toy for dog lovers!
The media could not be loaded. I bought a few of these for my niece’s “adopt a puppy” birthday party—we’re planning to give one to each of her friends, and they’re going to be a hit. We opened one ahead of time to test it out, and my niece fell in love immediately. She was so excited she made a whole video explaining how it works!The little pet is cute, interactive, and the packaging is part of the fun—it feels like opening a real pet house. It’s small enough to be a party favor, but it still has that surprise-and-wow factor kids love. Definitely recommend for parties or just a fun little treat.You can even reload it to do the surprise reveal again, which adds to the play value. It also comes with cute extras like stickers, a little name sign, a bone, a welcome mat, and an adoption certificate, which made it feel really special. Simple but cute concept
The dog toy that comes inside, is a small and basic stuffed animal. I didnt think my daughter was going to play with it much. However, the dog house is super cute and you can do it over and over again. She actually plays with this toy a lot and even insisted we buy for a friends birthday.

My 5 year d received this for Christmas it was definitely worth the money the puppy is so soft and sweet . We both enjoy putting the puppy in the dog house secret spot like we are doing a magic trick . Definitely would recommend this gift
