Came as an empty box with instructions leaflet. Easy to follow. Made sure it got back to them with sign for postage.Results were comprehensive. Quite surprised at how many intolerances and sensitivities I have. It gave me a lot of insight into why I’ve being having symptoms. Good follow up with email contact and lots of advice available going forward. Value for money in my opinion

I’ve used this company before, I would highly recommend as the tests are simple to complete and the results are quick. This is my third time using this company and it’s been really positive.

This test was something I really wanted to try out because it's not actually the first hair test I've done, and also I know I have a lot of sensitivities and mostly what they are already as it's something I've been looking in to (along with my Doctors) for most of my life.The test kit is easy to use - you order the test kit here, it arrives in a box and inside is an envelope to place hair test strands (you don't need to take many) , the barcode etc is all on there, and there is a freepost envelope that you place the hair test envelope in and then post it. You have to register the test kit on their website, which is quick and easy to do. What some people have become confused about is if you need to add an address to the envelope included with your kit, or if you actually have to pay extra to post your hair test. If you got your kit from Bolo then you DON'T need to add any further address, print any barcodes/QR codes or pay any postage. Just take your hair sample and send it off ( the other instructions about postage, a bag, and printing stuff out etc on the webpage is for people who did not buy from Bolo so ignore that).I posted it on Monday and got results by Saturday. You download them along with a guide to interpret them. Nice and easy.However: Take your results with more than a pinch of salt!! these results mostly contradicted both what I know from my own experience and also the previous hair test I took as well. For example my first test with another company told me (a certain thing ) was high reactivity, but this test said it was safe - no reactivity. My own experience tells me the first test was right, this one was not accurate in some major areas for me. Things this test said I have high reactivity to?.. well I don't react to most of them at all. Some of the things where it says I have no sensitivity I react very strongly to! Also things like gut health and melatonin/sleep are not accurate in my case. Hence the 3 starsMy conclusion: Overall, it's interesting and you can try reducing things it flags as you being sensitive to and see how you feel, but don't take these results as gospel truth, please go get tested by your doctor/see a specialist if you are concerned.

I bought the Check My Body Health intolerance test for the whole family twice per year, and it’s been surprisingly useful! While it claims to check for 1,200 different intolerances, you’ll only get results for a handful of items. Still, it’s a fantastic way to screen gut health and figure out which fancy supplements might actually work for us—or which ones to toss out the window!Overall, I definitely recommend it. It helps pinpoint real gut issues, but don’t forget—this isn’t a one-off! You’ll want to repeat the test to keep tabs on whether things are getting better or if your gut’s still having a mid-life crisis

This kit is nicely presented and has everything you need to send a hair sample off for analysis. The instructions are very easy to follow, and you simply pop your sample in the post with the freepost packaging and wait for the results.I have now received my results and have to say I'm not impressed. Most of the food items I have on a very regular basis came out as red (high sensitivity) and I have no problems with them. It does sound very dubious and I wouldn't put any trust in it whatsoever.
Simple to use with pretty good instructions
This test is extremely simple as all it requires is 4-5 strands of hair over 1 inch or 8-10 if under one inch.There’s not a lot in the box. Make absolutely sure to scan the QR code provided to start the process, register your test, answer a few questions about known intolerances or allergies, get the tag to attach to your sample envelope, and provide your contact information.The service commits to a quick 3 to 5 day turnaround once the hair sample is received.Be sure to follow the instructions provided after registering and print these out for your sample label.Important to cut the hair as close to the root as possible as instructed, and it does say that hair dye will not affect results.It is not clear whether hair bleach, including highlighting will impact the test results.The test is not cheap but is it truly can assess the all of the items listed it is a small price to pay.The only thing unclear in the instructions was whether the “sealed bag” for the hair sample was supposed to be the inner sample envelope provided or if you are to put your own sealed bag in that envelope. I places It directly on the sample envelope and then put this in a sealed plastic bag and then finally put that in the large mailing envelope.The package came in what looked like a sample box, see last pic, but that does not seem to be used for hair samples - at least it was not referring in the instructions. Perhaps it is for submitting other test kit samples.I will update this review after results are received, including an assessment of the support provided to interpret results and expert recommendations. But so far, this has been an easy process.
I bought a twin pack and only got one
After paying almost 150 usd for a twin pack I only got one.
Unhappy
I sent my sample in on 12/20/24. As of today 1/8/25 I still don’t have results. I called number and received voicemail that they didn’t have any one available to talk to me and leave a message. I never received a call back. I think I should get my money back if I’m not going to get results.
A product lacks of considerations
This kit is marketed to provide you with "body tolerance test" result with a strains of your hair. I think it is achievable, but my education (advanced degree with chemistry background) tells me that you should take the result with a grain of salt.1. The product arrives in a small cardboard box. As you can see in the 2nd photo, it says "Apply security seal here", which is confusing since a) no current seal or whatsoever; b) per instruction, this box is not to be shipped back2. The instruction asks me to collect a strain of hairs and put them in a sealed pouch, which again, is not provided in the package.3. It asks you to ship back your sample the address with an envelope provided, BUT no postage.***So after you paid for the pricey product, you have to find your own means of sample bag (I managed to find a zip bag), and pay for the postage***It took about 2 weeks for me to get an email notification about the product arrived. And it only took a day for me to receive my report.The test results are categorized into three groups: 1) High Reactivity; 2) Moderate Reactivity; 3) No Reactivity.I wish they put more explanations on what does "reactivity" mean, and how the test is conducted. Instead, the wording says "fall outside of optimal range", "causing or contributing to physical symptoms" are simply too vague.For example, the report says I am sensitive to all wheat food, which is the main food I am growing up with. Does it mean I should stop eating all bread? What will happen if I keep eating wheat? What "symptom"? That is why I feel the results are sketchy.
