After a lot of searching, decided to go for this, absolutely brilliant, set your own toasting preference, light golden brown for us, wide bread and thick bread slices easily fit.

Ignore the reviews stating this is too small for standard UK slices. That is nonsense. Unlike a conventional toaster, this is deeper front to back than top to bottom. Flip your bread 90 degrees so it goes in length ways front to back and it fits just fine and gets a nice even toasting. The only bread that won't fit in is that really large paper wrapped Warburton bread, but that's too big for most toasters. I almost didn't order this because of those incorrect reviews.

Quite nicely made, looks good on the countertop, useful digital display, quick toasting, nice finish, should look good for a few years.

Iv been looking for a toaster to replace my old one. This is perfect it's light weigh very stylish and the functions are really good. I like the count down timer which is really helpful to. Highly recommend

Great toaster I love the degreaser and the dials make this so much easier to judge the roasting heat levels .i now like my toast on level 3 and get perfect toast every time whereas my oldToaster was not as accurate:Very simple to use and looks good ..The spring is strong and I have had slice jump out of the slotsWell it makes meLaugh

The advantages of this toaster is the LED timer, that lets you know how much time is remaining, it toasts farily fast, and its size. However, there are two disadvantages. First it has a very flimsy feel to it. Being stainless steel and for its price you would expect a feeling of being sturdy. It is very light and has almost plastic feel to it. Second disadvantage, the toast does not have a very powerful 'pop up' that makes the toast jump when it is done. Instead, once it is done toasting, it is very anticlimatic and disappointing.If you are looking for a toaster, in my opinion, this not a remarkable toaster, and for the price, I feel it is over-priced. Nonetheles it toast fasts and the timer is quite handy. Personally, I would have been happier and I would have given this 5 stars if this was priced in the mid-£30 to low-£40 range.

Had this toaster just under a month and have had to return it. Firstly it was very good looking and seemed to work well. The first problem I noticed, I like to have Scotch Pancakes for breakfast at the weekend and these pancakes a quite thin. When I placed them in the toaster one slipped down the side of the tongues that support the product causing it to get stuck between the tongues and the grill and I had great difficulty in fishing it out. From this moment I had taken to being very careful when put the pancakes into the slot , we never had this issue with our old Russell Hobbs toaster. Then this happened again a couple of weeks ago when one of my pancakes was ejected from the toaster and then when it fell back in it again got trapped between the supporting tongues and the grill.The other problem that we have found is that the toasting seems to have dropped off from when new. When we first bought it toast would toast to a satisfactory toastyness on setting 4 but we found that as the weeks went by we have had to increase the setting to 5 and then finally to 6 and the toast was still not toasted enough.So today I have returned for a refund, thankfully as we bought this during the Christmas period we were given 30 days return window. I have now bought a Russell Hobbs 4 slice toaster (similar to our old one that we'd had for years) with all the same features from Argos at halve the price.

Highly recommend. Allows you to alter the dials part way through toasting. The toaster is well sturdy. It accepts your thicker slices of Bread too. Ease of use and definitely value for money
Good product.
Lubricants are used in manufacturing and the sanitary way to remove the oils is through heat or dry runs. So before you use, put anything in the toaster, push the arms down a couple of times to burn off lubricants. If you have touchy smoke alarms in your home, open a window first before you start toaster.The toaster is ok. I say ok as the toaster is not deep or as deep as some, so you won't get a great browning on the top of a slightly taller bread especially home made bread.. I do like the cancel button as opposed to lifting the arms manually. Bagel choice was on last toaster and wife uses, but no use for defrost. If item is froze, I just turn the heat up a notch. The last toaster did 10 years, and had stopped working on one slot. I am happy with this toaster, it is clean and neat, and would buy again.
Nice Toaster, happy with purchase
Works great, and looks stylish. I love the timer feature so my toast doesnt pop up and scare me...(jack in the box trauma). In all seriousness though, I love the black on stainless steel look because it goes along with my appliances. The timer is a nice feature with each setting obviously having a different time setting. The toast itself comes out even on both sides. Being a new appliance I recommend using it a couple times with no toast to let the burning coils burn off any dust from the factory- I did it like 4 times until no smell came out...after that no issues at all.
Amazing toaster for the price
Love the retro stainless steel look. It works very well, the controls all feel very satisfying to use, and it doesn't feel cheap at all. It feels like a more expensive toaster. It's good that this isn't a big-name brand, or it would be more pricey! No complaints, very happy
My second one ... very good little toaster with digital timer
This toaster is essentially identical to one I bought here several years ago. A good all around everyday toaster with a nice digital countdown that is adjustable and lets you know exactly how much time remains until it is done. Makes getting the perfect toast very easy every time. Looks great and works great. My only regret is that these latter day toasters no longer open on the bottom for cleaning. It's a safety thing, they say. I don't think any being made now are any different, for cleaning you get a pull out crumb tray while the bottom remains closed. It's annoying to me but nothing can be done about it. If you happen to get something stuck down in there the only way to get it out is from the top and that can be ... interesting. Oh well, that's newfangled appliance safety for ya. This is a good toaster, would buy again. In fact I just did. Note, the "brand name" on this model changed over the last few years but it is absolutely the same identical appliance that I got last time. The shape of the timer knob changed a little, and the side panel is a different color, but it's the same, trust me. I used to work for a giant appliance maker, I know how to spot technical differences.
