I can't speak for professionals but I had a great time painting on this. The pages are smooth (which makes sense since this is a mixed sketchbook) but decently heavy enough that the won't cripple unless soaked in heavy washes.The size is perfect, it's larger than a typical sketchbook. Very little bleed with heavy watercolour, paper is decently thick too. Easy tear out of pages, and comes with a transparent sheet that you can put between pages to stop the paint from moving onto the colliding page.

I am on my 2nd of these.For me they are the perfect size.I use for alchohol markers and mixed media. I sometimes use watercolour which the paper takes well but the paint doesnt blend as well as on proper watercolour paper which is fine.I like the spiral binding so I can keep all my efforts together.And the sheet of pastic backing for between pages is a nice useful extra.

Love this as an art journal. Tried an alternative but wanted a ring binder type to lessen the mess of inks and sprays on other pages. Comes with a mat to help protect other pages which is useful. Really good quality card which takes water fine. Has perforations to tear pages out but looks fine to leave with my journal. Great value.

I had bought quite a number of these pads in various sizes and for various mediums. I love the quality of the paper! I love the spiral edge too. The silicone mat inside is a great addition to stop your pens bleeding through to the next page. They all feel really chunky books and for the price they really are the best!

Auf dem Block kann man wirklich gut Zeichen, Malen oder mit Tusche arbeiten, Farbstifte kommen gut zur Geltung.Ich arbeite ständig damit, er hat Festigkeit, ist aber auch glatt. Dir Größe ist richtig, dass man ihn leicht überall hin mit nehmen kann. Ich bin sehr zufrieden damit-
