Extremely sharp detail for a low cost 3d printer and don't be fooled by it being a entry level printer this is absolutely fantastic elegoo have created a masterpiece with this just make sure to buy a new usb to print with as the one that comes with it is absolutely rubbish and leaves your files corrupted pick up a sandisk cruder blade or something I have had no problems cleaning the resin out of the tank just used some cut up microfiber cloths. the only drawback is the smaller build size but this is no problem because you can just print your parts in separate pieces and glue them later and for the smell it comes with a very easy to install filter that makes the smell almost none existent. just make sure to wear gloves and a mask when taking the lid off.

If you are new to resin Printers don't be like the others and say it is not working. Contact Elegoo as they have a great support team that will help.These kind of printers take some getting used to just as I have struggled with print fails, that comes with the whole new world of 3D Resin Printers and none of them are easy. Yes have a look at some Youtube video's But look at the ones that come from Elegoo as these are the correct instructions.. this will be your fast way of learning.Moving on, .....Elegoo at my opinion are the best and give quality prints, But again I will remind you it is all about your settings when sending your prints to the machine too!Value for money? 100%I am not selling this item to you as this is your choice But just from using other machines Elegoo for me are the best.

As a first time 3D printer I am very happy with this. Steep learning curve to get everything dialled in right but YouTube has that covered very well. Photo is of one of the first prints I completed. Scale wise the miniature is approx 4cm tall so detail is captured extremely well. Item came well packaged and delivered quickly with everything in working order. For those researching, I levelled my plate using 3 pages from the manual which came with the printer and this has been working well, my first bottle of resin was Elegoo water washable and that has been working well with the printer too. Adhesion to the build plate can be very strong so absolutely use rafts when printing :) Final note, the usb stick provided is very cheaply made and mine began to fail within weeks of having the printer and using it lightly so recommend you replace quickly so you don’t have it fail prints. 32gb or less required so it can be formatted in FAT32 which is then plug and play for printing.

Never touched a 3D printer before getting this. Was easy to set up and calibrate.Will need to be kept warm, easily 20c or above. For optimal print quality. Anything below 15c and you will see almost constant fails.Be mindful the LCD screen and ACF/FEP sheets on the vat are counted as consumables and will need replaced eventually. For the screen 2000+ hours and the ACF/FEP every few months on average.A funnel with a strainer attachement is recommendend as you can pour unused resin back into bottle. Use a silcone spatula to help scrape the ACF/FEP and a microfibre cloth to wipe the vat. Do not use kitchen roll or other cloths as these will scratch the material and wear it out quickly.Please note nitrile gloves are mandatory when handling resin. Resin will cause skin iretation and can lead to allergic reations over time.

ok as a novie to 3d printing and a lot of research, watching youtube etc I decided to make the plunge and buy myself a Elegoo 3d printer.Setup was straightforward and easy to do, luckily (helpfully) as id done quite a bit of research using the slicing software was easy. Chitubox (included) is ok but I also use Lychee to do the orientation and supports which I find immensley usefull.Only used water washable resin so far and that seems ok, some prints a little brittle but I dont know how that compares to other types of Resin. I just found water washable to be less hassle and easier cleanup post print.Of course ive had a few failed prints (my fault) but it is vital you clean tank and re-level after a failed print to avoid a repeat of damage to your LCD.All in all im really pleased with the Mars 3. My status as a super grandad has now hit 'legendary' as I can print (and then paint *sigh*) superheros to order!Timewise you can print a 32mm model in about 3hrs. Space *soldier* types can get about 8 on the plate at a time so all in all not bad and at a fraction of the price of purchasing retail models. Bigger models can be printed in sections and then glued together. I do recommend checking out myminifctory as the offer plenty of free 'samples' and some good 3d model designers you can purchase from or join their 'tribe' The ones in the photo were all free stl files which i downloaded and then sliced through chitubox.The only cons really for me is the amount of money im spending on Resin! .... Set my printer running go do the shopping or whatever and come back to a finished model (most of the time)

Set up the printer yesterday, and did a test print but nothing printed. Nothing on the bed, nothing in tge vat. Yes I had taken all the protective coverings off. Tried manually levelling the printer but the calibration screws can completely unscrew and make zero difference. I'm using factory settings for the Rook test print. I've tried to print it six times now changing various things but still absolutely nothing. So very disappointed with this. Very poor. Checked online and numerous people have had this exact problem. Wish I'd never bought it.

Damaged LCD screen on the left hand side so I couldn't access all the screen buttons, sent it back.
