5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, high-quality, very enjoyable, and beautiful engineering!

    M. · 11 March 2025

The media could not be loaded. I wish I could upload more than one video to show this off, however I did decided to upload a video of using it to grind 18g (somewhat standard measure) of coffee beans to a moka/espresso grind. This should give you an idea of what you're signing up to and how long it will take. I actually really enjoy the process but it is somewhat of a hobby ritual - if you just care about having your coffee done quickly with minimal effort, maybe go for something electric....The process: you will want to set the grid (on the wheel shown), weigh in the coffee beans, grind the beans, empty the ground coffee, use the brush to dust out and clean the container, and dust out the grinder. Like I say, a bit of a ritual. The build quality is excellent, the resulting ground coffee is perfect and very consistent - this is what has impressed me the most. It is very easy to use and the folding handle is a really nice design touch. Everything about it feels well-made, high quality, and very functional. It is also very easy to clean using the brush provided (don't use water!).Value for money is a tougher one - I think for the majority of people, you could certainly get away with something a lot cheaper and sacrifice the grind quality. However, if you're taking an interest in coffee and like nice shiny things, you are paying for some really nice engineering and a great quality manual grinder here. I love it and would wholly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent and consistent hand grinder.

    J.C. · 23 December 2024

This has been an excellent addition to my coffee making routine. In the hand it feels well made, solid but without being too heavy and cumbersome. The fold away handle is very useful and the magnetic sleeve to secure it when grinding is very satisfying. The clicks and and number settings make the grind size very easy to set and hone in. The grind is very consistent and I have found it very easy to dial in when using for Pour Over, Aeropress, Cafetiere and for Cold Brew. After using it for a few weeks the burrs really settled down after breaking in and the level of effort to operate is relatively minimal, my three year old quite enjoys turning it for me and is able to do so.It is quite easy to strip this down and clean it although the first two times I did need to check the instructions for reassembly due to the number of parts. If you combine this with a good RDT system you will have very little in the way of grounds being retained as well.I have used and owned other hand grinders and this is significantly better by far, quieter, more consistent with better overall functionality.

Just got it today, but this is a quality manual coffee grinder. Easy to use, easy to set for your desired grind size, easily disassembled and reassembled for cleaning. Cost little more than twice the amount of a similar cheaper brand, but loving the quality look, feel and easy to use function of this grinder.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very well built, easy to use, consistent grinding. Pleasure to use.

    o.b. · 8 February 2025

I have been using this for almost a month now, everyday 1 V60 and 2 espressos. Honestly it is much better than expected. For V60 grinding takes so little time and effort that it is a pleasure. Espresso is a little harder but still easy considering how thin you have to grind. On my Gaggia classic i never have channeling and very consistent grinding. I highly recommend this product. If you have the cash you can buy a Commandante but for me this is same quality for less than half the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Coffee handheld grinder

    R.W. · 24 June 2025

My concern was how much effort was needed to grind the coffee beans. No need to worry it is easy. A fantastic piece of kit. Has taken my coffee experience to another level.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality built grinder!

    c. · 26 April 2025

This thing is made solid!Hefty item that feels great and should last a while.Easy to use - perfect for a quick v60.Only thing the static is noticeable but i have that issue with all grinders - manual or electric. Usually you can spritz the beans too but i wont introduce water droplets in this grinder. The green color looks great too.

5.0 out of 5 stars This grinder totally changed the way I make coffee

    D. · 17 February 2024

I've been happily making and drinking my own flat whites for many years. I got a gaggia classic maybe 10 years ago and have been using Illy Intenso ground coffee. It's been constant. But sadly my machine died recently so it was time to replace it. Got the 2023 Gaggia Classic Evo. It was time to try grinding beans myself again after a lot of failure with the cheap Krups grinder I've got. Anyway. Did a bit of research and decided to get a manual grinder as the burrs in cheaper manual grinders seem to be better than the ones in decent but still expensive machines. So this arrived and after a false start (trying to grind on too finer settings) I opened it up a few clicks and magic happened. For the first time I'd made actual coffee shop espresso. I was blown away and my morning flat white will never be the same again. The machining on this grinder is excellent. It feels great to use. It does require a bit of elbow grease to work through the 18.5g of beans but it's satisfying and makes the reward even sweeter! I'm now obsessed with improving my technique (I'm now weighing everything and timing the extraction etc). I'm loving the science of it. This grinder feels like a sturdy bit of science apparatus. It does seem like quite a bit of money for one (maybe 2) coffees a day, but it is totally justified. I cant wait till the morning every night now so I get a chance to practice again. This is an excellent hand grinder. I'm not disappointed, I'm sure you won't be either

4.0 out of 5 stars Great quality, reliable and at a good price

    C. · 3 November 2024

I've been using this for many months and quite satisfied with the quality vs cost. The grinds are great as is the option for fine vs coarse. I've also found it to work reliably well and require little cleaning. I'm docking a star as it tends to fall over given it's high and offset centre of gravity which is not ideal.
