Very disappointed, apart from several sharks teeth only two instantly recognisable tiny fossils. They rest were dusty pebbles. No resemblance to the illustration.

The children love to go hunting for interesting finds when they on holiday, this normally means lots of shells and few fossils. This 'Prehistoric Fossil Collection' is an unglamourous collection, but excellent value for all the bits and pieces that you find inside. You get various fossils in it from the sharks' teeth to ammonites.They come packed in rigid plastic and once cut open you are going to have to store elsewhere. Inside some of the items are underwhelming. If you found them in a beach you would be impressed, but you may also have stepped over them. These are not premium finds but feel like the less commercial items put together in bulk. The fossils are less defined than you would like and not all complete. The sharks’ teeth are the most impressive element.For a current asking price of £7, you get a lot for your money. Almost like a lucky dip from the remainder bin at the fossil shop. If you want a clear ammonite to display on your shelf, you are not going to get that, but for a child to add to a rough collection, or even use in crafts at this price, you cannot deny the value.

I bought this for my niece. It was very bad.No ammonite as publicised, poor quality fossils, hardly anything of interest and lots of dust and tiny fragments.Not worth the purchase.

This set comes in a pack that I needed to cut to open it, so it can't be used to store any of the fossils. For the price there are a lot of fossils but lots of these are small or incomplete and some dont look like 'typical' fossils to young interested children. There were multiple shark teeth and one fairly large tooth and there were some small/partial but recognisable ammonites. There was a tiny magnifying glass.
