From the first use, the engine runs noticeably smoother and quieter, with improved responsiveness both on cold starts and during longer drives. It clearly delivers on its promise of high performance and protection under pressure.One unexpected bonus is the surprisingly beautiful fragrance & far cleaner and more refined than you’d normally associate with engine oil. Picked this up at a promo price, cheapest 0W-20 you can find from Castrol.Excellent quality oil, recommended by many for VAG Group cars - much better than Quantum Longlife (which is what the manufacturer uses). I have noticed a difference in cold starts and the engine temperament is much better.4 Litre bottle size is also one that you cannot find from Quantum (unless it’s in a bag) so ease of use is a bonus.

According to the label on the Castrol engine oil bottle, this engine oil meets the VW specification 508 00.This was ordered on Sun 01.02.2026 and was delivered on Tues 03.02.2026.On Wed 04.02.26, I used a small amount of this oil to top up the engine oil in my car, Skoda Octavia SE L, 1.5 TSI, 110kW petrol engine. The car was first registered in July 2025.This Castrol Edge 0W-20 LL IV Engine Oil appears to be an excellent engine oil. The white label inside the engine area of the car states the engine oil should be "VW 508 00 or VW 509 00, SAE 0W-20".Would I order this product again if needed? Yes, definitely.
