I only use good quality oil in my cars and have never had an engine blow up . The oil is more expensive than others but you save in the long run also the cars tend not burn as much oil

Good motor oil
My peugeot requires 5W40 but had trouble with cold start valve timing. Switching to 0w40 of high quality solved this as its a bit better flowing when cold yet Edge is described as better protecting the engine in that instance. When warm its properties are allmost identical to the prescribed 5w40 and I have not found any negative impact. Peugeot did change the hydraulic valve buffers on this engine to solve this problem, but Edge was the easier solution (I also used a thorough engine cleaner before changing the oil)Edge is now my preferred oil for engines. (Been reading a lot about oil and engines lately).Very good oil at reasonable price!update; changed oil again and still happy with Edge 0w40,no problems
