Contrary to other reviews there is a very comfortable grippy texture on the back that works well even when my hands sweat.This is personal preference but the ABXY face buttons feel better to me than even official OEM Xbox controller buttons. Though I do want to note that they feel a bit closer to the right stick than on an official Xbox OEM controller. The guide, share, start and menu buttons all have a satisfying tactile click, same goes for the bumpers. The D-pad is also very assuring with no slop and a definitive stepped feeling when pressing initially but rolls smoothly. The back buttons are a similar kind of click-y as the Guide, share, menu and start buttons, but since I play with the Claw grip on controller I don't use them and have used the switches to lock them. They are comfortably placed and don't bother me at all.For the triggers this is the ONLY place I have found an issue. When used in normal mode with full minimum and maximum deadzone, the triggers function just as well as official Xbox OEM controller triggers, though noticeably more sensitive on the low end and more accurate, I will test them again when I can get the latest Forza game. However in the hair trigger mode is where I found an issue, most of the time they function great and actuate INSANELY quickly making rapid fire with semi-automatic weapons much easier and faster. But in multiple instances I have been holding the left trigger to aim down sights in MWII, only for the trigger to disengage mid gunfight causing me to release my ADS and costing me the fight. This is just a theory but there may be some jitter in the trigger sensors, though I am confident that this is NOT a hardware issue and can be fixed in future firmware updates.Now for the main attraction, the Hall effect sticks. HOLY CRAP THESE THINGS ARE GOD TIER!!!These are BY FAR THE GREATEST STICKS I'VE EVER USED IN MY LIFE! The stick tops are comfortable and provide more than adequate grip despite being modelled closer to the PS4/5 stick tops which I usually don't like for their lack of grippynness. The stick tops also have very minimal slop making me very confident that every micro adjustment I make will be translated in game.As for their in game performance, AGAIN HOLY CRAP! I have never experienced joystick input as accurate and precise in my life, this controller is an FPS scalpel as opposed to every other controller who's sticks might as well be blunt rusty butchers cleavers in comparison. You can actually make MICRO adjustments with these sticks, the only thing I can describe them as is a high end gaming mouse in joystick form, They are obviously aren't as precise as a real mouse due to range of motion limitations and ergonomics, but I have been able to seamlessly transition from large sweeping turns to surgical pinpoint snaps and recoil control on a dime (NOT just blindly pulling down to fight muzzle climb, but countering PER SHOT RECOIL) in the past on official Xbox OEM controllers, I have tried the same micro adjustments only for them to either get eaten or jump further than intended with tragic results. Not so with these sticks, I can confidently say 100% that EVERY missed shot is 100% my own fault with the controller not holding me back AT ALL.Sticks this precise combined with the 265Hz polling rate of the controller makes inputs feel IMMEDIATE and consistent. On top of the immediate responsiveness stick input on screen is BUTTERY SMOOTH, trying to slowly pan side to side on an official Xbox OEM controller feels stutter-y in comparison, it is akin to the feel of moving from 30FPS to 60FPS for the first time, which also helps with micro adjustment because the smoothness of movement makes predicting crosshair/ sight-picture movement feel extremely natural. This makes flick snaps and adjusting your aim for fighting opponents using a headglitch FAR easier.While not a negative I feel it only right to give anyone looking at this controller a heads up, that there IS a learning curve to this controller. While you can just pick it up and start dominating (assuming you already had the skill to do so before using this) It feels like this controller has a slightly different native response curve than Official Xbox OEM controllers, and you will have to adjust to be able to take full advantage of the precision of this controller.Also it really is a REQUIREMENT to download the Gamesir Nexus app from the Microsoft store as by default there is a 10% deadzone that you need to reduce to 0 for best results. Also in my personal opinion Raw stick input feels the best, however it is VERY sensitive which may be to aggressive to many people.All in all I'd give this controller a 9.5/10, assuming the hair triggers are fixed in a future firmware update, along with the addition of being able to create custom response curves this controller would easily be a 10. Though in future iterations along with the original G7's mechanical face buttons I'd like to see some PHYSICAL trigger stops on top of the hall effect triggers with digital hair triggers, add on a decent case for £10 and this would literally be THE GOD CONTROLLER. (not that it isn't A god controller already) Hope this review helps, and sorry for being so wordy, I wanted to be sure to be thorough.

This is an incredibly robust controller.I play a number of games that demand a lot from the player in terms of inputs and stick usage and this controller has held up surprisingly well over the many months I've had it now. It's kept better then other, more expensive controllers. The feel and wight of this controller is night perfect, it has just the right amount of weight to feel satisfying but not too heavy that it feels uncomfortable.I do wish the shoulder buttons were a little less sensitive as they seem to register an input on the slightest press rather than any real depression. This might be a good thing for some people but since I'm hoovering over the triggers a lot I'm more prone to accidental presses. The face buttons are also a little too close for my personal tastes but that's something with all xbox-like modern controllers.Highly recommend this controller.

It's an awesome alternative to the standard Xbox controllers, especially price wise.Setup was instant, you don't need any of the third party programs listed to get it to work either.Feels very sturdy, doesn't feel cheaply made and even feels more sturdy than normal Xbox controllers.I've been told that it's immune to stick drift as well, but this will be a wait and see. I will change the review at a later date if I do get it but the sticks do feel different compared to other controllers.The only issues I have with it is that the extra buttons can't be used as actual extra buttons as no game seems to recognize R4/L4, they can only be used as another button that's already on a standard Xbox controller which I was a little disappointed about as it was one of the reasons why I bought it.

Controller is actually unreal for its price. It’s better than the Elite series 2 which I’ve had multiple of over the years. I play R6 siege mainly and it helped improve my aim and movement by a good 80% it’s very light and clicky and just overall comfortable in the hand. Would definitely buy again!

This controller is by far my favourite. I've tried my fair share of controllers from turtle beach to Scuff and this one takes the TOP. The main reason I got it was the hall effect joysticks which I love as usually the first issue I have is stuck drift.Now obviously it won't feel ridiculously premium like the elite and such, but the plastic is sturdy and feels good. I actually prefer the more simple D-pad and if you have a wired headset this controller has even more function with it. The controller is as customisable as any elite one if not more.If you don't mind the wired aspect, it is the best option for you to customise, and play with including low deadzone, underbuttons, ability to change any buttons function, hair triggers and more.PROS:- Under buttons work great- Hall joysticks prevent stick drift so easily- Sturdy controller- Very functional app- For the price is the best you will getCONS:- Every once and a while I hear a squeak from some buttons (hardly often but worth mentioning)- Wired (for those who prefer to have wireless)- Have had very minor connection issues but the wire is often traveling with me so always bunched up, which would explain that issue- Left trigger hair trigger can sometimes 'jitter' causing it to undetect it's being pressed, but this also has occured on the scuff and Xbox elite controller so it doesn't make much difference compared to other onesI personally find this better than any controller and if you have no need for 4 extra buttons (I often only really need one) this is the gold standard.

Solid Budget Alternative to the Elite Controller

I had an Elite Series 2 controller that I loved and used for a while—until my 2-year-old got ahold of it and broke it. I was looking for a cheaper alternative that had paddles (since I’m used to them) and no stick drift, but I didn’t want to spend top dollar again since I don’t game as much anymore.After some research, I found this GameSir controller and figured I’d give it a try. I’ll be honest—I wasn’t super hopeful at first, but I was pleasantly surprised. It feels light, but the buttons are sturdy, and I haven’t had any stick drift issues so far.Eventually, the wire gave me trouble (possibly from rolling it up frequently), but I reached out to GameSir support and they sent me a replacement cable within a few days. Works like new again.If you’re looking for a solid, affordable alternative to the Elite with back buttons and reliable performance, I’d definitely recommend this one.

Amazing controller but the face buttons feel mushy.

This controller is very well built and I am a massive fan of the PC software, however, the mechanical face button do let this controller down.1. Build quality is very good! I love the shape and the feel of the sticks, the feel very durable and robust.2. Speaking of durability, due to the hall effect triggers and sticks, they will have zero stick drift forever and you'll never have to buy another controller unless something really bad and damaging happens.3. For features you have the app that lets you remap every button on the controller and add any software dead zones that you wish to have. Another amazing feature that I love you can disable the back buttons by flicking its respective switch. It's a very useful feature when switching from game to game.My final thoughts are I would 100% recommend this to a PC player or a desk XBOX player, so the wire reaches them very easily, for those who play on TVs and sit far back, I can't recommend it as the wire does get very frustrating but aside that, this is a fantastic product that also gives you one month of XBOX game pass!!

Gamesir G7 SE is better than the Microsoft series x controller.

There's no drifting. I was playing a game without any drift based settings and it drifted a bunch on 3 controllers and there's many complaints about the game on forums.When you fully push the stick to the edge and do circles with other controllers there's a bumpy feel. The gamesir has no bumps, nice and smooth, very nice.The left and right bumpers a very easy to press. The series x controller bumpers are too hard to press so I bind them to something rarely used in games. The gamesir bumpers are something I can use without fear of tendonitis.The buttons are mushy, good. I hate mechanical buttons they are audible over games and sound terrible, they also don't feel nice to press.The software is good, I can rebind everything so when a stupid game puts dodge on Y instead of B and doesn't provide any control settings, then I can change it in the software.The triggers by default are ultra sensitive, I had to change the range in the software as I kept accidently shooting in game.My complaints,The select button is way to close to the left stick, it's very hard to press compared to series x controller. I can't actually press it naturally without also pressing the left stick button. The only way to press it is moving the hand. It's horrible if map is bound to select and you have to use it often. Lucky there's two back buttons and I use those instead.There's no way to turn off the indicator light which sucks when playing in the dark.The controller colour is white, I like black.
