(Images show rear of steam deck with fan attached, angled to show the fan speed knob/dial, and the second image shows a front view with the fan attached, and other items included; instructions, charging cable, 90° adaptor)I purchased this steam deck fan for £39.99 (but it is now on sale for £28) and used it immediately out of the box (it is rechargable, comes with a cable but appears to be somewhat charged initially. I've used it for several hours so far without having charged it yet)My steam deck was overheating when playing demanding games, the back of the device got super hot and the screen would black out, no buttons respond and it would eventually turn back on once sufficiently cooled.This fan attaches temporarily (easily removable, and no permanent bits need to be added to mount it) at the rear center of the steam deck, not blocking the vent hole on the rear panel, but instead, it lines up with the vent at the top of the device to further cool the exhaust air.There is a dial knob on the side of the fan to control fan speed. I initially set it as low as possible, because it produces sound. (I think the volume of the fan is acceptable). On a low speed setting, the fan kept my steam deck far cooler whilst playing intensive games, the hot spot on the back wasn't even hot after playing. The device is no longer hot to the touch and doesn't black screen and shut down from overheating.It looks pretty chunky, but fits the steam deck well and is simple to put on and take off. The location of where it's attached also doesn't interfere with buttons, speakers or holding the device, however it means the steam deck will likely will not fit in your docking base when the fan is attached because of the added size. The bottom of the fan is pretty flat though, so with the fan attached, as long as you don't knock it, it kind of sits upright on its own.Overall, it absolutely does what it's supposed to do. Would I have preferred paying 28% less during a sale? Yes. Am I glad I bought it when I did so that my steam deck works more efficiently? Absolutely.I cannot speak to the longevity, but the temperature drop this provides for the device is brilliant. There is also a hard case version by the same manufacturer that has modular pieces including a fan that clips onto the back of the case, so if you prefer your steam deck in a sturdier protective suit, and not naked and risky, then I'd imagine that could be a good option too!

Since buying this I've been able to keep my steam deck running without the back getting to an uncomfortable level. Had even reinstalled games that would cause the back to heat up and play for hours without a worry. Fits great, lasts hours without needing charged. Non-obstructive design and feels like it could last a while. Well priced too.

This does the job perfectly and fits the deck well, it’s designed really well and keeps my deck atleast 10c cooler. Not too bad on price for what you get and it does have a build in battery so you don’t need to have it plugged in all the time

Extra cooling for your Steam Deck is fantastic. It's a little more pricey than it should be, but you can feel the difference on the screen and on the back of your Steam Deck

My friends steam deck was overheating which meant I had to get him one of these. Wow did it make a difference. My friend would run into severe overheating when playing helldivers which is why I got him this. The size is very portable and it clips on with a nice stand. It is super easy to use, you just turn the wheel to adjust the flow of air. It grips on the steam deck nicely and looks really good. It’s very quiet as well. 100% worth the money.

I appreciate the cooler delivered what it promised - cooling down my Deck to lessen overheating. The gadget is adjustable, easy to charge, adjustable for cool settings, good grip on the deck. The size melds well with the deck. Overall great, thoughtful design and quality.

After waiting for this item to be delivered, I was pleased to have it land on my doorstep literally five minutes ago, in fact I don't think it's been registered as delivered yet.I opened the box up and I heard a bit of a rattle, but put it down to adapter that is provided for the power lead.But as soon as I went to put it onto my Steam Deck, the bottom part broke off!A serious design flaw and I'm really unhappy that it's happened, in fact it's broken in exactly the same way as two other reviews.I've had other items from JSAUX and I've not had any problems with the other items, there is obviously a major design flaw in this fan, and it's made me deeply unhappy after looking forward to it arriving, I'm in two minds as to whether or not to ask for a replacement, or just do without a fan!
