it is really good quality my daughter loves that she can write on the screen, but apparently she is not allowed to use it when she does her GCSE exam, not sure about other schools. overall it's really good and easy to use.

First off, this calculator has way more features than I’ll ever use or need, or be able to truthfully review. Sadly, my days of studying have long since gone, and I’m not a scientist or mathematician. But if you’re going to get a calculator you might as well get one that does just about everything. Just in case…So far I’ve used it only for the basic calculate functions. If or when I do need to do something a little more complex then I’ll definitely need to revisit the 44 pages of instructions. And doing the basics it has worked perfectly. The fact it’s rechargeable, and also solar powered, is great - there’s no replacing batteries or finding that they’ve leaked and caused corrosion after being left unused for a while.I’ve found the notepad extremely useful. I thought it might be a little gimmicky, but it’s proved super useful for jotting down calculations and measurements whilst carrying out odd jobs. I will point out that the notepad doesn’t quite have the contrast shown in the pictures, and it needs good lighting to be easily readable. The notepad also provides a snap shut case to cover the buttons and calculator screen. A magnetic closure ensures it doesn’t accidentally open.A couple of slight criticisms are perhaps the feel of the buttons and the quality of the plastic. Both feel a little cheap and brittle. If this calculator was slung in a school bag and not treated with care I suspect it may not last too long. If it’s treated well I think it will serve for years.

Surprisingly useful calculator for A-Level, Engineering etc. The stylus-notepad is fun, useful and conveniently easy to use.The calculator is a standard scientific, broadly in line with the old workhorse Casio fx-991EX. Under the MODE menu we have:1. COMP2, CMPLX3. STAT (1 variable and 2-Variable Regression of all kinds)4. BASE-N (DEC, HEX, BIN, OCT; includes logic functions e.g. XNOR, NEG)5. EQN (Up to cubics; others available via the SOLVE function)6. MATRIX (Up to three 3 x 3)7. TABLE (Single function f(x) only)8. VECTOR (2-dim or 3-dim with dot and cross product)Good to have the functions accessible via buttons rather than deep menus. Factorial, nCr and nPr for example, are accessible using only the SHIFT key. The very useful ":" multi-statement button enables you to show a sequence of calculations with successive presses of the = button, and the ANS key adds another layer of useful recursion. Numerical differentiation and integration work fine, and there's a Sigma template for summing single-variable functions over a given range.All in all, good value for money and the folder stylus pad makes the most useful calculator cover out there.
