A bit more sloppy than corned, so I keep it in the fridge. Not so salty as corned. Great value.

good meat content, no 'bits of bone/grissel' but perfer the 'Corned Beef' which is a bit firmer and easier to cut even 'straight from the fridge'. other than that a decent product at this price

Hertford Fine Foods Canned Beef is a great buy, whether in larger quantities or single purchase. The flavour is lovely, it's a great beef taste, less salty than some. Perfect for sandwiches or added to make other dishes. These are really handy to have in the cupboard, with a good shelf life. With today's prices for food, having your cupboard stocked with essentials like this helps. Hertford Fine Foods corned beef also has the same great taste, and is slightly better for some dishes as it is not as loose. Which ever tinned meat you buy, I'm sure you will find a delicious use for it.

You need to keep this well chilled, it's much softer than Corned Beef.If it's room temp you will struggle to get it out of the can and slice it, it's nearly as mushy as dog food unless well chilled.I keep mine in a cool pantry but put it in the fridge the night before I want to use it.The instructions say to punch a hole in the top - that's actually very difficult - just run a can opener along one top side instead, far less hassle.

Not a lot to say other than it’s a very typical corned beef … no surprisesIt came on time, well packed and good value (I split the pack with my mum who makes a mean “South American pie … corned beef, baked beans and Worcestershire sauce in pastry .. it’s delish)

Good stuff if you like WW1 trench food. There is no texture, cook it and you get a horrible mush. Okay in a sandwich or cat food.
