Son’s review:When I discovered that my mum yearned to play Azul but would not buy it herself, I instantly decided that it would soon be my gift to her for Christmas. However, after a thorough check on various buying options, I found that it was not a game that I could afford to purchase. Disheartened at this realisation, I decided to conduct further searches on different similar games. It was then that I spontaneously found an item that caught my eye: Azul Mini, £19.00. After a complete research on this affordable version of Azul, I came to the conclusion that it was a satisfactory enough game. A few days after Christmas, my mother and I read the rules and played the game for the first time. We both found it an exceptional version of Azul in all different areas, ranging from price to quality. The rules were also perfectly clear and straightforward. The construction of the game itself was also satisfactory.With regards to the game itself, the components are of a quality that exceeded my expectations greatly. It lives up to its purpose of being a travel version, containing 4 sturdy game boards, a small plastic game tray and an ornate bag that contains the intricately decorated plastic tiles. When first shipped, everything is contained in a simple yet colourful box.Overall, it is an extremely fun, enjoyable experience.

Our fave game for going on holiday, the art is really nice, easy to learn and fun to play - feels like you can really learn the best strategy after a couple of games but is also lucky dependant.Quality and pieces are amazing!

I love this game, many hours of family entertainment, beautiful and fun. I much prefer this mini version to the standard size - same rules, etc just more convenient size to play. BUT the cardboard box is awful considering this is supposed to be the portable version.

From someone who has not played the full size version I love this! Was looking for something easy to pack for holiday and this was perfect. Many hours spent playing in the evenings. The size is perfect to pack in a suitcase and love that it comes with its own carry bag so you don’t have to use the box. The quality is amazing and love the tactile tiles, it’s so pretty and is a fun and easy game to pick up. It also comes with an option to create your own wall so the complexity can be changed. Great game with lots of replayability and good for couples or larger groups alike

Just got into Azul. Very easy to learn and various different tactics to get different scores.Love the travel size of this version though the Disks that you deal tiles onto are just flimsy card so doubt they will last well if we take this game away with us often. Which is the plan.Would definitely recommend the game still though

Easy, fast, tactical, replayable, interactive and not multiplayer solitaire
Pros- Easy to learn and teach.- Fast to setup and play (less than 30 minutes).- Doesn't require a huge table.- Replayable because of the competition among players and the different scoring paths.- Not multiplayer solitaire. The competition among players makes everyone adapt constantly to make the most out of the current state of the board and always be one step ahead of the opponents. Decisions are divided between best for me or worst for them.- The game design is brilliantly simple! Just like in the games Reef and Century Eastern Wonders, the rules here are so simple yet very strategic and tactical (though more on tactical).- I have the Azul mini version. The design of the tiles and the scores wouldn't slide around even when moved. It is also small and can be easily carried around.Cons- It is confusing that there are 2 types of blue tiles, they could have chosen another color for more clarity such as green. There is a blue tile and there is also a blue tile with a bit of white, making it confusing to describe.- I bought the Azul mini version. The box is trash! It is so hard to get the game and also hard to put it back. It isn't the usual "open the lid" type of box but rather like the cereal boxes.
