The 2X Reeds 15mm X 1/2inch Male Iron Flat Faced Isolating Valve for Tap Connector Flexi Pipes has truly impressed me with its quality and functionality.Firstly, let's talk about the packaging. The valves arrived securely packaged, ensuring that they were in perfect condition upon arrival. The packaging was minimal yet effective, which I appreciated.Now, onto the valves themselves. The quality is fantastic. They are well-made, sturdy, and built to last. The turning mechanism feels tight and functional, providing smooth operation every time. I was pleasantly surprised by how well-made they are, especially considering their affordable price.I've installed these valves to fit at the end of both cold and hot water pipes under the kitchen sink, and they work like a charm. Nothing much I can write about these, they arrived on time and do what they are supposed to do. Good value for money.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good compression fitting for the water pipe to the taps
Used these on my water pipes that fed the taps when I was refitting a utility room. Very easy to install on the pipes but make sure you do your prep work. I used some wet and dry sandpaper of a fine grade to get the pipe really smooth with no imperfections on at all. As the compression olive creates the seal the pipe needs to be spotless. I also covered the olive in PTFE tape as a belt and braces approach but i guess this isn't necessary, its more down to what your comfortable with. Also worth noting not to overtighten the fitting so as not to damage the pipe. Asa a rule of thumb I tend to tighten them as much as I can with my hands before doing a full half turn with a spanner to compress the olive. If there are any slight drops after this when the pipe is pressurised I will tighten another quarter turn but this isn't usually needed; again just personal preference.

I used these in a shower installation. The full bore of the valve does not throttle the flow like other ball valves and with sufficient head on hot and cold you don’t need a pump just a mixing valve. With a pump it’s super flow and pressure.

The major hardware retailers don’t seem to stock this product yet sell basin taps with flexible connections that require it.Easy to fit to 15mm copper pipe with olive compression seal and from there to basin unit with rubber washer seal.Good water stop.
