This is a great quality product, most suitable for a small business or a home user with good IT knowledge. It works well and is easy to set up provided Nebula is installed on the phone or laptop and PC being used. A standalone option is available. Very pleased with the results. My network is now more responsive. It can be wall or ceiling-mounted. It has no supporting stand for shelf use. I would recommend this item to anyone looking for reliable results from their network. Its not a mesh system and requires hard wiring to the router or a nearby network switch. I have two and have disabled the wifi on my router as that is not required and these offer superior quality. You can set them to operate on the same wifi channels, which for me gives the best option.

Easy to setup with all the functionality you're likely to need, especially as a home user.. Looks and feels well made. Much better coverage & signal strength than other more expensive devices. Good array of additional components including outdoor access points that can all be managed from a web console.

Although this is a very nice AP and the Mesh functionality works well, there are two things that weren't very clear from the listing and literature that caught me out: 1) the AP does not support any Ethernet bridging to the Mesh, 2) the WDS / Mesh systems are not compatible with other vendors (which ruled out me reusing a few Draytek AP's that do Bridge that I had lying around). Still a nice bit of kit though.

I have 3 of these spread around the house, flashed with OpenWRT and in a B.A.T.M.A.N.-Adv mesh. They work extremely well and have great range. Flashing OpenWRT is a breeze.

Probably a great wifi extender, but after two days of trying to set it up I gave up. Very poor instructions, none!!!! So was returned.
AP performance e feature professionali idoneo a molteplici SSID,VLAN e AP per ampia area
Eccellente Access-Point. E' orma in servizio da qualche settimana in una rete di 3 AccessPoint che copre una villetta in cemento armato. Gli access point sono connessi a un MultiGigabit Switch con porte a 2.5Gbps PoE motati a parete in prossimità del soffitto. La ricezione è ottima in tutta la casa e nel giardino si raggiungono velocità ragguardevole anche se per sfruttare i 2.5 gbps della connessione fibra è necessario usare più connessioni da molteplici Access-Points. La connessione è stabile a circa 7-800 mbps su un singolo client che usa uno stream a 1.2Gbps. L'access point permette di avere fino a 8 SSID su ciascuna radio frequenza (2.4 e 5 ghz), permette la configurazione di profili radio e di sicurezza nonchè la classificazione degli AP che rileva come rogue o friendly per MAC address. Su ciascun SSID si possono configurare MAC filters. Supporta ovviamente 802.1q VLAN tagging in modo da separare SSID e traffico su VLAN individuali. Il roaming tra different AP (con opportuna configurazione 802.11k/v) è assolutamente trasparente e senza packet drops (nelle telefonate in VoIP non ci si accorge di aver cambiato AP). E' necessario capirci un po' e accettare di spendere un po' di tempo nel configurarlo meglio collegarlo con ethernet cablata. Personalmente tutto in manuale (niente wizard che limita molto le opzioni e Nebula) e tutti gli AP wired per massime prestazioni e alimentazione PoE. Estremamente ben documentato sia per interfaccia WEB che CLI e supportato da uno user forum sul sito Zyxel. Firmware originale ver 7:10. Supporta Syslog logging e NTP per poter tracciare tutti gli eventi da un server Syslog e correlarli a problemi o accessi indesiderati. Assolutamente raccomandato.

bra AP. men obs att det här inte är router utan Ethernet (PoE) - WIFI bridge (ingen DHCP, DNS, firewall). bra räckvidd på 2.4Gh 20/40 och 5Gh 40/80/160. ingen 6Gh. fungerar med POE at. kan ställas in lokalt och användas utan Cloud.

Der Zyxel NWA50 AX Pro kommt mit Netzteil, Halteplatte und Anleitung daher. Verarbeitung ist sehr gut, das weiß und finish zeitlos. Die Zustands-Led ist klar erkennbar. Der AP wird über POE und dem 2.5. Gbit Port betrieben, läuft ohne Probleme seit Monaten! Die Einrichtung im "Stand alone"-Modus kann den Wald- und Wiesennutzer, der nur "Klicki-Bunti"-Oberflächen kennt, überfordern. Für ITler ist das angestaubte UI aber zweckmäßig und zielgenau zu bearbeiten. Hinweis: Man sollte wissen, was man am Gerät tut und das OSI-Layermodell verinnerlicht haben. Der Datendurchsatz entspricht den technischen Daten und die Reichweite(Empfindlichkeit) ist überzeugend. 1 AP im OG versorgt mit Trockenbau im gesamten Haus EG/OG(95qm) und Hof. Das ist in der Preisklasse sehr gut. Wer den AP über einer Hohlraumdose platzieren möchte, kann dies mit dem Plattenhalter tun.In der Anleitung sind die Lochabstände beschrieben, bekommt man aber auch ohne viel Kognitivleistung hin (68 mm Dose passt!). Die Nebula-Cloud wurde nicht eingerichtet, kommt aus Datenschutzgründen auch nicht ins Haus.

Ne ho presi due, uno alimentato via PoE senza problemi.Il software Zyxel l’ho usato 30 secondi: giusto il tempo di aprire il menu per flashare OpenWrt (operazione non da fare a cuor leggero, ma seguendo le istruzioni è andato tutto liscio): mi spiace preferisco risparmiare i soldi per l’abbonamento Nebula.Da quello che ho capito la versione free va comunque bene per un uso ‘casual’ senza troppe esigenze, probabilmente il 90% degli home users. Avendo però una nota ‘pro’ anche nel nome era un peccato e via di openwrt per sbloccare tutte le features!Ho sostituito un orbi rbk50 (router+satellite) con due di questi AP in coppia con uno switch 2,5gbit: devo dire che in termini assoluti di velocità wifi non sentirete molte differenze, anche se ha l’uplink a 2,5gbit. Forse col wifi6, ma non ho device adeguati e quindi vado ‘solo’ di wifi5. Ho la fibra 2,5gbit, ma anche con la gigabit in genere il wifi5 lo saturate tutto, quindi non molte differenze in termini di velocità assoluta come detto (beh, con uno switch adeguato a monte, potete connettervi in wifi su due ap diversi e saturare la banda ancora di più ma questo è un altro discorso :D)Tuttavia mi sembra che la reattività in genere sia migliorata un bel po, il che non fa mai male.Rispetto all’orbi in termini di ricezione non ho notato cambiamenti: nessun problema prima e nessuno ora (è un segno positivo per me considerando che la disposizione delle antenne è diversa e l’orbi è installato in verticale come una torretta).OpenWrt comunque è un altro mondo di possibilità e se siete smanettoni questa deve essere lavostra scelta, con buona pace dei software proprietari.
