Old videos were causing interference when transferring to digital. One run of the tape cleaner improved the quality.

Absolute waste of money. Put the cassette in and could hear concerning sounds straight away. Within seconds, the machine spit the cassette out and the paper tape was caught up. I'm just relieved it didn't completely wrap around the heads/spools and I could get it out. Please do not waste your money, it could end up being a very expensive mistake.

I ran this though an ancient Alba VHS recorder. When it got to the end is locked solid and wouldn't rewind. Thanks to another review I found that there is a small hole in the centre of the case near the bottom with a hinged flag inside. On pushing a spike into this I was able to rewind the tape by hand.Repeated this process 4 times but didn't observe any improvement in picture quality. I assume that means the heads are as clean as they can possibly be (I did pull apart the recorder a few years ago and clean everything with isopropyl alcohol).I have just bought another VHS recorder from EBay so will try this cleaner with that and see if I can detect any difference.

I bought this product, as i found an old JVC VHS recorder in my parents garage, during a clear out.Out of morbid curiosity, i wanted to see if this unit still worked, even though it was caked in a couple of decades of garage crud and mouse dropping were found inside.As part of the clean up i wanted to clean the heads. But thinking that the VHS unit was beyond dead i didn't want to spend too much on a head cleaner. Nor did i want the faff of using the liquid cleaner process.So this was bought with little of hope of it actually working.After getting a vacuum and air duster in the unit to clean it out, i tried a VHS tape to see if anything would appear on the screen.All I could hear was sound, that was muffled and warbled, there was no image on the screen.I popped in the cleaning tape, let it run to the end, swapped it out with the normal tape and there was an improvement. The sound was clear, but still no images.All in all, i used the head cleaner 8 times to get to a point where sound was clear and the image was stable, without any distortions.So a great value product that does work well. It just depends on how dirty the heads are, but you will see improvement.

I was on the verge of scrapping my old VHS player due to damage caused by playing tapes damaged by a damp atmosphere. However, I figured as I still had some tapes I might want to view again it was worth a shot to try this cleaning tape. It took a few runs of the tape and the playback quality is still not perfect but at least it's now watchable. For a normal level of dirt on the heads I'm sure this would do the job.

Avevo pulito le testine con soluzioni idonee, aprendo naturalmente il video-registratore, ma la condizione delle immagini sono migliorate visibilmente dopo l'uso della cassetta. Quindi ottima soluzione e rapida pulizia.
It did actually help
Bought one of those old TV VCR combo from a yard sale. Picture was very distorted. Disassembled the TV myself to try to figure it out. Sprayed the dust out but nothing.Cleaning the heads was the next step I found. This tape seemed to be the most convenient product. was confused the tape only played for like 2 seconds but when I popped another tape in, picture fully clear.Product does legitimately work. If it doesn't work, odds are it's another problem with the VCR and not the heads
