it's not reinventing the wheel - it's a spade and works admirably at what it was intended for. What separates it from others is it's generous length which as someone who's relatively tall is no small mercy for my back and fairly long torso.Good weight balance in hand, strong robust materials while at the same time being fairly lightweight all point to what I expect to be a real workhorse of a garden tool.So far it has handled replanting small trees, attending to and tidying up flower and shrub borders and has been great at more precise work - edging and straitening up lawn edges etc.It's fairly priced but as someone who owns a small cluster of outdoor manual tools - Fiskars isn't a brand I think you can go wrong with, their garden shears which I picked up cheap at Lidl a few years back have been excellent and their wood splitting axes and hatchets that I also own are all fantastic quality and going strong - expect this spade to perform similarly.Highly recommended - only wish I had started with Fiskars in the beginning - would have worked out cheaper in the long run. ;-)

Brilliant spade for price , strong and aesthetically pleasing, comfortable in the hand and the slighly longer length makes it easily usable especially for older users who may have a temperamental back , great product from reliable company

Well made but I find the shaft a little too straight for digging but it's right for using as a shovel

I'm 6"1 and find that most spades are too small leading to back ache over prolonged use. Originally I bought a Fiskars shovel which I would also recommend and, like this spade, is slightly longer with a small bend in the neck meaning your hands grip the spade in the right place.The design is simple but those small features make this product fantastic for construction / gardening use.

Halt einer der besten Firmen in diesem Bereich, die man kaufen kann. Wie immer ein sehr super verarbeitest Produkt. Toller Sparten, gerne wieder.

Der Gärtnerspaten von Fiskars überzeugt mit hervorragendem Handling, robuster Bauweise und sehr guter Verarbeitung. Ein zuverlässiges Werkzeug, das auch bei härteren Einsätzen bestens besteht.
