The Perkier brand is one of my favourite snack bars, so I purchased this variety pack to try out all the different flavours and have a convenient way to buy in bulk. The price per bar is similar to purchasing boxes of 3 in supermarkets, so it's not necessarily more cost effective, but the convenience of a box of 18 is definitely a plus.Perkier bars taste great. I had 6 different varieties in this pack, though oddly, they weren't all in the same quantity. I got 6 x nutty toffee with dark chocolate, and only 2 x salted caramel, and 2x of cranberry and goji. I also noticed there were varieties listed on the back of the box that weren't included in mine.Perhaps the quantities are based on which bars are most popular and produced more, or perhaps they are selected at random and different from box to box, but it's something worth noting if you're hoping for a particular kind.I really like all the flavours, particularly the salted caramel, but they are all great in their own ways. They are sweet but not excessively so, and crunchy without being overly sticky on the teeth. Very satisfying. They also have a really appealing look to them.Nutritionally most of the varieties have similar balances of proteins, fat, fibres, carbs and salt, with a few small differences between them depending on ingredients. Fat content and salt content is low, while the carbs, protein and fibre levels are good, making for a good energy boosting breakfast bar, pre-workout or mid-day snack. Sugar content is good, according to the packaging it's 40% lower than similar products, and the sugars that are included are primarily natural from ingredients used. The fats also are from natural sources, mainly coming from the peanuts and cashews.I like the mix of ingredients. I think peanuts and chocolate pair really well, and I'm also a big fan of soy, cashews, chicory root and dates used in these combinations.I like that these are gluten free and vegan, which suits my lifestyle, but obviously if you have an allergy to any form of nuts or soy, then these aren't for you. I also approve that the brand does not use palm oil and has a carbon neutral production.Pros (perks)- Great flavour, crunchy and sweet, well balanced- Natural ingredients- Good nutritional value, natural fats and sugars- Vegan, gluten free, carbon neutral- Supporting a British company (less import wastes that way)Cons:- Variety box didn't have as much variety as I'd expect. Out of 18, 6 of them were the same and some of the ones on the box weren't included. Hopefully next time I order, I get a few different ones!

I didn't expect to enjoy every single flavour so much. I have a few favourites, but they're all so good.All round, I think they're very well balanced bars.For example the flavours aren't too weak/subtle that they're annoying; instead you get an authentic flavour without being overpowering. Each tastes very much like what they're supposed to.And maybe it's odd that I even have to mention this, but often with other bars, it's more of a hint, a suggestion of flavour. These are great though.The flavour doesn't overpower the nuts, the nuts don't overpower the flavour, and the chocolate doesn't overpower either.Balanced.And there's a generous amount of chocolate too, good chocolate, not "the cheapest stuff they could find which approximates chocolate". Nice creamy satisfying chocolate.Again, weird I have to mention this, but it's good stuff.The bite is surprisingly satisfying too; not too hard, not too soft.It's not a dry crumbly mess, it's not too hard. They're well held together, and somehow still not overpoweringly sweet.Give 'em a try, I think these guys deserve some love, and you can tell they put some thought into the quality here.They go very well with a cup of tea, or even a light bitter/citrus sort of drink.

Unfortunately, the last batch I have ordered do not seem to be the same quality, taste or texture. Previously, the bars had a lovely, smooth date syrup running through them which made the bars really moist. However, this new batch is a lot drier and has larger cut up pieces of dates running through which does not give the same texture or taste. They are still okay but I find them a lot less enjoyable than the previous batch.The PD and EXP date is also…strange!My first (tasty batch) order said PD (packaged) 10/01/2023 and EXP 08/01/2024. Approx 12 months.This newest (Not so tasty) order says PD (packaged) 14/12/2022 and Expiry 14/02/2024 which is over 12 months. This means the bars that were made a month earlier, actually last a month longer??This is disappointing. The quality of these bars is obviously a little inconsistent. I was really hoping these would be a regular purchase but this has made me reconsider. I thought about ordering direct from the manufacturer but they are currently out of stock too.I love the ethics of the company but I am not sure I would order these again.The below review is based on the original order-These bars are fantastic and make a great snack.The have a lovely, soft, sticky texture, and a pleasant taste. If you enjoy peanuts, you will probably enjoy these.The are only 140 calories, they are vegan, gluten free, palm oil free, 6.1 grams of protein, and 7.8 grams of fiber. I have tried most of the flavors and these are probably my favorite.The bars are also well packaged and the best before date is around Jan 2024.I almost considered leaving a negative review, in a selfish attempt to deter people from buying them, lol. I want them all for me!! However, I do need them to sell plenty to keep making more of them. So, I guess I better give them 5 stars. Great variety, nice flavours. My favourite is the Madagascan vanilla. Bit expensive - usually buying in bulk is cheaper but I will be buying again ( unless they get more expensive!). Really handy for travelling or quick lunch snack.

Also eigentlich schon, aber entweder sind viele künstliche Zusatzstoffe drin, oder viel Zucker bzw zu viele Kohlehydrate, oder sie schmecken einfach nicht gut. Bis jetzt hatte ich nur die Be Kind Nussriegel als wirklich hochwertige Lösung, die sind als reine Nussriegel (= wenige Kohlehydrate) super zur konstanten Energieversorgung, aber helfen nicht kurzfristig.Perkier Riegel geben mir endlich eine tolle Lösung, wenn ich einen Snack brauche, der etwas mehr Kohlehydrate enthält als ein reiner Nussriegel. z.B. wenn ich bis zur nächsten Hauptmahlzeit noch 1-2h konzentriert arbeiten will, aber den Blutzuckerabfall schon merke. Perkier versorgt mich mit hochwertigen Kohlehydraten, aber auch Protein und Fett. Da passt nicht nur die Nährstoffverteilung, sondern die Zutaten sind natürlich und gesund. Der Riegel führt nicht zu einem Zuckerschock, sondern stabilisiert meinen Blutzuckerspiegel für die nächsten 1, 2 Stunden.Fazit: Nur natürliche Inhaltsstoffe, keine künstlichen Zusätze, kein Zuckerschock durch sorgfältig ausbalancierte Kohlehydrate, und schmeckt super! Kann ich sehr empfehlen!

My favorite bar i ate many times when i lived in the UK. Moved back to The Netherlands and i wanted to know if i could get the bar here somewhere. Frank from Perkier helped me very kindly and told me that i can find it on the Dutch Bolo since this week. I also like to support this young business, 'cause i like their ethics.

It's very hard to find decent vegan protein bars but these definitely pass the test. Even my husband that is usually skeptical to vegan options really liked these and has been asking me to order more but they seem to never come back in stock.
