Our Organic Hulled Millet Grain is an ancient grain which is making a comeback. This versatile and nutrient rich grain boast a rich vitamin and mineral contents which can help you achieve a natural balanced diet. Our millet has had the hull removed to allow you to digest all the wonderful nutrients it has to offer.With a mild sweet flavour, this Proso millet grain can be easily paired with savoury or sweet dishes, and is very similar to Couscous and can be be used in many of the same ways, by adding to salads, soups, stews, casseroles. It is also commonly added to porridge, and can be toasted to give it a nutty flavour.Millet grain contain a vast array of different vitamins and minerals which can help contribute to a balanced diet, due to its Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Cooper, Potassium, Zinc, Selenium and Vitamin B1 and B3 which helps contibute to: the normal function of the immune system reduction of tiredness and fatigue maintenance of normal bones maintenance of normal teeth normal functioning of the nervous system To cook the hulled millet add 1 cup of millet and 2 cups of water (or stock). Bring to a boil and then lower heat and let simmer for 18-20 minutes. Drain, and then fluff with a fork. Rest for 10 minutes before serving.
