I bought this for my son. It’s over heated. Now the filament won’t feed through. A absolute nightmare

The media could not be loaded. Absolutely brilliant little machine for your money, so easy to set up. Just unpack, fit the filament holder, add some filament and away you go. I inserted the supplied micro sd card and pressed the 'auto' button and the supplied "lucky cat" started printing straight away. The result was an excellent quality print. All in all a great value for money machine.

The G code to get it to print ain't all that good it needs to be reworked and a better way to make sure the printer stays in the build plate not go 9ver the edges.

So, the Malyan M300 is the MP Mini delta, mark one, reissued.It is exactly the same, if not even noisier, with no bugs ironed out.This is the third one I've purchased and the most problematic.Yes, it works out of the box. Yes it will print the test piece, which I guess is the sum total of the testing.I tried to print something about 85mm diameter and - no chance. Two thirds lifted, the other, the nozzle was pressing into the plate.The printer has a self levelling probe system that can be problematic if the heated base is a bit wobbly, however this was consistent in its problem.Delta systems have three legs and the closer you get to each leg, the more that leg influences the nozzle position. (A couple of hypotenuse calculations will show that.)So, measure the position of each homing switch. One legs was over 3mm different. This was carefully moved up, tested and moved again until, yes 3mm proved to give a consistent brim print.I also turned of the code for centre levelling which also helps as this is where you can have some debris.Printer works fine, and is much faster than a cartesian printer. Plate and nozzle heating cycle is a bit long winded but that can be altered in the header G code file.It uses a mini SD card, don't lose it! Replacement ones are hard to find as it won't work with most branded SD cards and only works with up to 500mb. It took me over a year to find a working replacement, so I bought a bagful!The other problem is the filament spool position, it can snag and snap the filament.It also has no on/off switch or light, both of which can be rectified quite easily, as a switch can be fitted next to the input and the PSU dishes out 10A.For the cost, you can't go wrong and is an ideal starter/ small part printer once it is set up as it only has a few buttons you can press.

In just three months, the thermostat on the hothead assembly burnt out. Shortly thereafter, the motherboard failed within four months. While I appreciate that Malyan replaced both parts, I am now facing another issue with all three drive belts snapping.These three major defects within five months. Despite my efforts to reach out, Malyan has gone completely silent.Do not purchase this product...It is not worth £1.
