PERFECT for BIBLE highlighting
I do find that I have to smudge them a bit to be able to see the words clearly as it makes a bit of a cloudy appearance over the text, but after smudging they’re perfect.They’re quite creamy after they’re used a bit (at first they don’t seem so, but you kinda gotta break them in), and they’re very nice to use overall.They don’t bleed through the pages at all eitehr, which is amazing. 100/10 would recommend these!
Great for studying the bible, not great for casual reading
The Good=-=-=-=-=-=These last much much longer than their ink highlighters, so already a huge plus! Also, most of the glare and clumpy bits of the "gel" highlighter can be fixed by using a thumbnail and then carefully going over the applied area with a section of tissue paper. This also has far less bleed than their ink ones (which wasn't a lot to begin with mind you!) But they do leave a "shadow" of sorts on their darker colors.The Bad=-=-=-=-=To fellow artists out there, think of these as an oil pastel that's safe as a highlighter. To the non artsy people out there, why this is bad is because it's crumbly, will smudge, and will cause problems if you don't keep cleaning up the lines/area. As I mentioned above, you can clean it and scrape off excessive amounts so it doesn't cause extra damage, it is a time consuming thing that you have to step back from reading to do. Also like a pastel, a large amount of application over an area causes an oily like bleed into the page (It's not very noticeable though!) As far as defective colors, the peachy orange color in my pack does leave a smudgy/cloudy glare over the letters, though the rest I've used so far are fine.Conclusion=-=-=-=-=-=Pretty great choice over all! I highly recommend these to anyone using a casual bible (for a study bible this is a bit too messy for my tastes!) I'm glad I decided to give Mr Pen another shot after having issues with the marker highlighters and I'll be recommending these to people for years as well as buying more as I need them. Their customer service also is 5/5!
