Pack of 4 double-sided pattern rubbing and embossing plates (cubes, large spiral, flowers, stars and hearts, lined squares, nested triangles, small circles, tracks). Made from sturdy plastic, these colourful rubbing and embossing plates are durable and long lasting. Place a piece of paper over the design and rub with either wax crayons, pencils or chalk to reveal the image. The plates can also be pressed into dough or clay to create interesting patterns. Fully washable for repeated use.

I remember having a set as an early years teacher and getting so much use out of them as they can be used in so many ways. Best used with crayons or chalks sideways on (which you can also do with the Maped pencils) - just pop the plate under a piece of paper and rub over it. The design "magically" appears and can be added to drawings, used as a background or used as a colouring sheet. These embossing plates can also be used with clay and playdoughs - just roll the clay over the plate then peel it off for an interestingly textured piece. One of the best art tools for all ages.
