So glad i went over to these - no more lacing, look sexy and are comfortable. i ordered low-rider insoles to increase comfort, and to preserve the inner lining... the boots are brushed leather, which is nice because i wiped them with a cloth which came away stained, either the waterproofing or bootstain then proceeded to brush block-waterproofer onto them from a tin i discovered under the sink. i had looked up boot waterproofer but is was only disguised dubbin, and i don't want things getting stuck to my boots. So i brushed it on and brushed it off, now i am wearing them around town daring it to rain :) P.S they don't do half sizes so i chose a 10, thinking that wd be ok... it is, except that my heels slip up and down a little so i have ordered inner heel protectors.

The build quality of this chelsea boot is top notch.Unfortunately, the toe box is too narrow and too roomy for my heels. Making it a bit pinchy in the front while not giving enough support for my ankles.For those of you with a feet geometry that this boot fits, this is a very well built shoes that's good looking and at an excellent price.For me, I'm going to keep wearing this boot hoping it'll eventually conform to the shape of my feet.
