I think this is a great budget dumbbell/barbell combination if you are starting out. The weight on here is fairly accurate but a bit lighter. For example says 1.5kg feels more like 1kg as I have purchased a proper dumbbell before. The size of the weights are massive on the dumbbell which is annoying in my preference and lighter too, so when you add on more weight there isn’t much space to put on to. Out of the package there was this weird sort of oil not sure why, had to clean it for a good 10-15 minutes. The outer layer is made of plastic which is good for safety but not so much for durability in the long term if used consistently. It is easy to put weights on, however the thing that clamps the weights on the bar is fairly bad, when I say clamp it’s like a spinny cog thing that you would need to spin and tighten, however upon leaving the dumbbell overnight, picking it up again the screw cog thing just untightens so you would need to tighten again. But overall I put this as a 5 star even though there was quite a few negative comments is the price, starting out.

plastic caps arent glued on at all, made a mess on my carpet. Had to tape the caps onto some of them within days of use. However, they get the job done.

The parcel arrived and it was easy to assemble. Can either set it up as two separate dumbbells or one long bar. The weights don't go very high, but for lighter reps either to get into weights or to lose body weight, this is a good product.Customer service was very polite, professional and helpful. The plastic locks that go on the ends to keep the weights in place are screw-ons, and one of mine was warped on the inside so I couldn't have the two separate dumbells as I was a lock short. I messaged them and asked if they could send me a spare and they were very apologetic and accommodating and sent me two extra locks, no charge.The grip on the dumbbells is a bit rough and can hurt your hands if they're more delicate, but I use gloves when exercising for this reason and therefore it doesn't bother me but is something to be mindful of if you do not have gloves and your hands are delicate.The main bar is soft and has a comfortable foam sheath that makes it more comfortable to hold when lifting weights with the full bar.Because everything screws into place, sometimes when lifting, if you twist your hand, you can feel the pieces come loose slightly, but it's not at risk of falling to pieces, so don't worry. You can finish the reps comfortably or just twist your hand slightly to relock it back into place.Overall, I am a masters student in a studio apartment and this is easily packed away, doesn't take up much space, is easily assembled, has good customer service, and does what I need it to for a fair price. I am looking at toning and weight loss. So, this works perfectly for what I need.Would recommend based on my experience.
