On a 2017 macbook the fit leaves something to be desired. The bottom half has play in it and doesn't sit flat against the bottom, so you can feel the whole thing flexing when you pick the laptop up. The edges where the two cases meet when closed is also pretty poor with warped lines. It does stay on, and will protect the majority of the surfaces though so it's better than nothing and very cheap to do so.
