The jaw on the hardened steel can be replaced when it is worn, and the built-in cast iron pipe jaw has grooves to enhance the grip. Two locking bolts are provided to ensure stability.
Turn the vise handle clockwise or anticlockwise to draw the jaw close or open.
The product has higher clamping force, longer opening, larger anvil and deeper throat depth.

A perfectly sound piece of kit, cast fairly cheaply and covered in oil on arrival.Not the most well engineered vice - a bit basic, but if you own a pair of gloves or some de-greaser it was very good value and works fine.I bolted mine to a wooden plate with a ridge underneath it to grip in my workmate - worked fine. Obviously it would be better bolted to a workbench.

Considering the price point, this vice is excellent! Well made, easy to adjust and very smooth when extending the jaws. The base rotates and you can lock it in place with the two knobs. It arrives with some manufacturing/transit grease in some areas... which I think is to prevent any premature rust. Simply wipe it away and you're ready to use it. Highly recommended for the home DIYer.

It's a vice, it holds things...But it holds them well and does what I need!Clamping action is great, and the teeth grip well. The whole thing was covered in oil (which is great, not a bad thing!) The swivel base is a little rough... but that will ease with use.It's good. You need to hold something... buy this.
