I decided to buy this kit after my doctor wouldn’t test my free T3 and T4 levels.Pros:- Relatively inexpensive- Fast results once the sample is received at the lab. Royal Mail was slower than expected to deliver my sample (posted on Monday morning, received at lab on Wednesday afternoon), however my results arrived less than 3 hours after my sample arrived at the lab.Cons:- All of the lancets in the kit were faulty, there was no needle in any of them. As a diabetic, I had my own lancet I could use, however if I didn’t have this, the test kit would have been useless. On trustpilot I saw another customer had the same issue.- I found it difficult and a little stressful to get enough blood for the sample, even after having a hot shower. I first tried my ring finger as suggested, then index, then middle, only getting one drop from each. After about 20 minutes, I finally tried my little finger, and I was actually able to ‘milk’ the blood from my palm to my finger with ease, and gather enough blood to reach the top sample line. With my symptoms, I was expecting to see abnormalities, however my results ultimately came back normal. Overall I’m glad I did the test.Tip: try your little finger.
4.0 out of 5 stars Lot of Blood
I have to be honest and say I was quite taken aback with this kit and the large amount of blood it is expecting me to collect from a simple prick of my finger. I feel I would need to prick multiple fingers and am starting to think I'd rather a regular blood test with simply one needle. The instructions are very clear about how/when to send it off and how/when to expect results.

I home test every few months to keep a track on how well my meds are working and to see if I need a dose adjustment during a flare.I've been using three other test suppliers quite happily for years, but I thought I'd try this one as they seemed well priced and it's handy to have another supplier. The test itself was easy to use and pretty much the same as other home tests. Other reviewers have commented on the large amount of blood required, although this is the standard amount with all the tests I've used. There was a bit of a hiccup with getting the results as I'd stupidly entered the wrong ref. no. when registering the kit. I had to chase the supplier to be told this, though. The results took a few days to come through after I'd registered the correct ref. The results they gave differed dramatically from my usual private and NHS results. I tested using the same protocols that I always use and my medication dose was the same, yet my T4 results was well over what it should be and my T3 was well under. If I was to adjust my medication based on these results, I'd end up seriously unwell. Luckily, I've been doing this long enough to know my body and roughly know what my levels are.I've since carried out another home test from one of my regular companies, and my results are where I expected them to be. Using this company was a total waste of money and time.

2.0 out of 5 stars Blood test sample.
I found it very hard to get blood to the levels required to fill the pot for testing. The company did try and help but I just couldn't get the amount to fill the small bottle to the amount required.

The home test kits are easy to use, just follow the instructions. Results come quickly to your email, make sure to check your spam folder. Great customer service, prompt answers to any questions. Highly recommend LHC
3.0 out of 5 stars Thyroid Hormone Function Profile Blood Test for Checking TSH, Free T3 (FT3) & Free T4 (FT4)
This thyroid test presently costs £29. Currently, an NHS thyroid test costs around £32. It's as advertised. Although the process isn't exactly as I expected. I'm apprehensive to take this test due to the huge amount of blood required to fill it. Little pricks on multiple fingers are needed to fill it. It's required to fill the mini blood test tube the morning of posting the test off for a rasher sample and better testing. It comes with a 2nd class envelope. The sample needs registering before sending it off that needs posting off early weekdays. The test results can take some time to be delivered depending on where you're posting from. Th results are then emailed to you. I don't know how correct the results are. It'll be hard to prove its accuracy. Hopefully, it's all legit and correct.
