As we use a lot of instant mashed potato we thought that we would give this a try and my wife is very impressed. It is particularly nice when a knob of butter and a sprinkle of onion powder is added. There are quite a few possibilities for varying the flavour with other ingredients. This mash easy to make and has a nice thick consistency when made up. Will buy again and can definitely recommend it.

Brilliant! Perfect ... only 4 stars because no instructions on how to use ... however, convinient size at a reasonable price, taste as mashed potatoes should taste also depending on what you add (water or milk, salt, pepper, margarine .... or...). The texture is perfect as the best mashed potatoes. Depending on how much liquid you add you can have it firm or soft resembling clouds in a sunny day. The colour is white as mashed potatoes. It is proper mashed potatoes powder with wich I can very quickly make a perfect mashed potatoes!

Love it, it's really smooth and creamy and absolutely nothing like the really nasty salty stuff that they served with school dinners when they used to free(that's actually true and not an urban legend).To the person on here that said it's a nasty grey colour I suggest you get a stronger bulb in your kitchen light, it's not at all grey,my only gripe is that there are no measurements on the packet, so consequently after making up my first batch tonight I no have enough left over to re grout my bathroom and possibly re artex the ceiling too.

This is pure dried potatoes without any added flavour enhancers. A good cupboard staple food to add to a meal without any hassle. The price is excellent for the big bag of mash which will last a good few months or more. Add a bit of butter, herbs, grated cheese, dried peppers etc. Basically add whatever flavour you fancy to it. It saves money and cooking time and is well worth buying. I will be buying again.

This comes in powder form rather than flakes. It reconstitutes very well and is beautifully smooth compared to the flake mixes. I use approximately 30g per portion. (One and a half to two dessert spoons.) This works out at about 17p per serving if you buy 1.5kg. I would think you could add any flavoring you wish. I just add a little salt and pepper and a sweetener. I will definitely be buying this product again.UPDATE 1I last bought this 6 months ago and although I still have plenty left I thought I'd stock up. I bought two packets, 3kg, with use-by dates a year in the future. Everything in my first review stands, good mash, good value.UPDATE 2I bought another packet a year after my last update, although I still have one unopened. It certainly goes a long way. It says on the packet that it is packed in a facility that processes nuts, wheat, mustard, sesame seeds, sulpher dioxide, celery, and soya products, so it might not suit some people.
