SHOEMAKER TRADITION SINCE 1825 - Our story began about 200 years ago when Cyrus and James Clark made a pair of slippers made from sheepskin remains. At that time, this - an invention combined with quality craftsmanship - was a groundbreaking innovation. We have remained true to this ethos to this day. So even today, the design of a new model begins with the production of a shoe last that is carved by hand from a solid piece of wood. In addition, innovative construction techniques, technologies and contemporary materials are also incorporated into the design of our shoes, so that our designs are tailor-made for a modern world.
