5.0 out of 5 stars Nice
Nice item. Quick delivery & packaged well.
5.0 out of 5 stars best of both worlds, mic or speaker
awesome piece kit
1.0 out of 5 stars Not built to last
Stopped working after 4 hours and now won't even connect from 2 ft away.
3.0 out of 5 stars Are they worth it ????
They are ok!!! But not a must have in a sound tech’s arsenal as in some of the adds. And the range is a bit less in the real world than proclaimed I would say. But if you need a radio mic and you have forgotten your good ones you could use these to attach a “wired” mic to get you out of a bind (as long as the person doesn’t wonder too far away from the receiver).
4.0 out of 5 stars Unit is ok
Used it for a normal mic into a radio mic. Distance was not as good as I thought.Used it from mixer to a small speaker, and that worked well.
5.0 out of 5 stars Well made product easy to setup and use.
This is a well made product that is easy to setup and use. This product is a revelation allowing powered speaker placement anywhere there's a power socket. It really shows itself off when you are connecting 3 or more powered simultaneously (I've tried it with 6 speakers which worked great(Six receivers used)).The only issue with this device is that, if the transmitter is sited too low you will get audio drop outs when people walk pass.I've made a tripod tower that allows the transmitter to sit at around 5-6 Ft high off the ground which has eliminates the drop out problem. There's also no loss in sound quality. This device plus additional receivers are quite expensive and should be looked as an equipment investment. These devices are worth the investment from a time saved and easier setup routine.Great product.
2.0 out of 5 stars Sent them back
There are many wireless XLR systems out there. When you pay that bit more and go for a radio frequency in MHz rather than GHz, it’s because you want professional quality. I use Alto speakers and love them so gave these a try.Sadly, the preamp in either or both transmitter and receiver is very hissy, I tried the many channels available. I would say I’m expecting a lot and it wasn’t too bad for a PA system but the far cheaper 2.4GHz ones are just as quiet and similar frequency range. (I tested in my studio with spectrum analysis before reluctantly returning them to give them a chance.)Other bad points but I’d have lived with include a cheap lightweight plastic that wouldn’t last long with roadies and AA batteries rather than the standard lithium rechargeable systems in use these days. Yes, a quick change but don’t last either. The receiver can be plugged into a usb in use, but although the transmitter can, it isn’t practical when plugged into a mic.
5.0 out of 5 stars Alto Pro Stealth Wireless MK11
Set up can be very tricky, make sure you read the instructions first, but above all make sure your sound systems are all set to 0 and then gently raise them to make sure you have the right settings, a tiny bit plasticky and the range can be a bit detrimental when objects are in the way especially at the 300 feet distance.
Ottimo prodotto, consigliato
Testato piu' volte, ottima copertura anche interponendo muri cemento armato, tra trasmettitore e ricevitore, inizia a perdere segnale a circa 20 metri. In campo aperto va ben oltre i 30 metri "visivi" senza ostacoli.
What about walls?
I can report on the question: How well does it do with intermediate walls? This is obviously very dependent on the architecture and wall construction, but perhaps the following will help. I have a configuration where my primary HiFi system is separated from a secondary HiFi system by at least 3 walls for the direct path, plus one that may be intercepting the EM wave tangentially, and with a large refrigerator and double wall oven stack also in the general path.Because the exact path, or shape of the wavefront including diffraction effects, is not easily determined by me, I'll just note that the walls are mainly 2 x 4 with sheetrock covering. Many incorporate plumbing and electrical wiring. One near the transmitter has a glass covered picture in the direct path. Total distance (as the EM wave flies) is about 66 ft, slanted downward to a lower split level. If this were a pure air path, one would be well within the rated 200 ft performance limit, but with the walls it was a bit of a stab in the dark as to what performance would result. The receivers are indicating four bars reception. Sound is excellent (within the limits of all the components that are in the path). Receiver scan led to channels 001 and 002 being selected, so operation is just above 540 MHz. Standing close to the receivers in the direct path seems to have no effect on indicated signal strength.Additional items needed for my purpose included two Klark Pro 2 XLR splitters to intercept the audio signal between pre-amp and amplifier at the transmitter end, two Sescom AUD-XLR-RCA 1 Channel XLR to RCA Balanced To Unbalanced Audio Converter modules for the receiver end, and various interconnecting cables. One advantage of this direct RF approach over WiFi schemes is avoidance of signal delays; that is, speakers are synchronized. Intermediate listening locations do not have echo like sound.
I will not buy this again
Receiver battery easily drained. Most of the time, unnecessary noise creating a not clear recording. Packaging is not that neat. I wish to return this product.
