They are cheap and useful. The screw comes out so I have attached them to the lanyard via a loop through the screw hole and discarded the metal folding cover. If buying again I would probably buy something that does not come apart!

This set of four loupes is reasonable. I'd like to say they are great, but they have one major flaw – the cover is not riveted on, it is held in place by two screws, one on each side of the lens. With only a little use, the screws will loosen as you open and close the cover, until it is so loose as to be useless.This shortcoming aside, the loupes aren't too bad. They offer a good amount of magnification and clarity as you can see in the photos I've provided – you can clearly see the date on a 1 penny coin (photo taken using an iPad).The construction is metal. Each loupe comes in plastic presentation box which lends a little added protection whilst en route to you. There is a space that can be used to attach the loupe to a keyring or chain which is quite handy.I've been using one to magnify the tiny text that tends to be printed on electronics – it is far easier to use and more effective than a magnifying glass.A good buy – makes a wonderful stocking filler.

Four separately boxed loupes come in a plastic resealable bag, together with a screwdriver for tightening the case screws. Each box contains a protective plastic box for the loupe, so you could keep one for yourself, and the other three would be excellent individually packaged gifts.The unit itself has a quality feel, helped by being made from metal. There is also enough room to attach a strap to the hinge area, which is useful if you take this outdoors for field work. Great for closeup study of plant, flower features for identification, produces a bright clear image without scratches or distortion. I often need to identify part numbers on very small plastic parts and this has proved its value in being able to read the numbers clearly. I also use it to check the quality/damage of small plastic figures and this works brilliantly for that task too. I will personally keep one on my parts desk, and one on a strap to take out in the field or when I go to parts-buying events.The magnification on the units I received was described as 30x (see picture), although I dont have any way of testing that. It does seem to be higher magnification than my existing 10x loupe, but I'm not sure that it is as high as 30x. Also, the products was listed as 10x, so if you really needed 10x you might not be getting the exact magnification you need. For me, this was an upgrade, so not worthy of dropping a star in my review.I also found it works well held against the camera lens of my smartphone. The photo I took was clear and distortion-free - this was the head of the screwdriver that is included with the loupes.I'm happy to recommend this product and for me this is a five star item.

Funktioniert gut, handlich und offenbar so billig, das man sie gleich im Viererpack verkauft. Gut für Arbeiten am Uhrenarmband u. ä.

4X die gleiche Vergrößerung?
da hatte ich mich wohl verlesen , ich meinte das das vier verschiedene Dioptrine seien mit 10X ,20X ,30X ,und 40X vergröserung . nicht wie in dem Fall 4X das gleiche . Viel kann man zu dem Preis nicht erwarten .
