The shorts are pure cotton, they are tight in the leg when first on but after some time they become loose.Not really what I was looking for.Also worth noting that the hem is quite thick so can be seen if wearing tight legged trousers or jeans

The material feels good and whilst the waistband does stay in place, that is where any positivity ends. The only time these boxers stay well fitted, look and felt good on me is immediately after putting them on. Once that moment passes, which is never very long, the thing swiftly looks more like a crumpled old baggy shorts that has seen far too many winters, and I've had them for just over a month. How can this be? The contrast between when they go on to when they are removed (whether that be within an hour or 10 hours), is unbelievably shocking. Much like Night is to Day. This is disappointing! I wish I could return them and offer no star in this review... it has not been money well spent at all.

The last few Hanes I’ve ordered were missing the stitching on the inside of the fly which was very odd and disappointing. I was about to jump ship from Hanes but these ones have the stitching right and even more so the inside of the fly has an even better stitch than usual - so looks like maybe they got the feedback and fixed this. The colours are nice, would love to keep seeing more colours especially in 100% cotton (I won’t buy any of the synthetic stuff it’s just not good for our skin). My only criticism is i prefer the classic grey waste band instead of the black but other than that these are great. I also recommend ordering a size up - I’m a M on the size chart but L fits perfectly as they do shrink a lot in the dryer but only the first time and then they stay perfect. Keep it up Hanes nice to see an old school brand keep up the good value.
