Yup, I'm at the age when I get exited about vacuum cleaners. Joy. Regardless, I love this thing. Its easy to set up, easy to use, it takes a little getting used to all the different joints and buttons to release/clip stuff to it, but can't fault it for that.Battery-wise, I think all the manufacturers overstate, and I dare say that if I put it on full eco mode, it may last what they say it will, but in normal use, you'll get less. Kind of knew that would be the case though, and it doesn't bother me. It charges fast enough, and just means I have to have breaks when I decide to hoover the entire house! (which is a 'win', really!). but its easy enough to buy a second battery if you need to.One small niggle is that I've managed to clip the dust release button a couple of times. Once it managed to empty the contents all over the floor! But, you know, it is a vacuum cleaner, so sorting this out didn't actually take long! There is a few times when a hose would come in handy, too, and this one doesn't have one. Not a moan - just pointing that out for anyone who requires that.Its easy to clean, powerful enough, easy to manoeuvre, and have no complaints about the size of the dust container. And compared to many cleaners on the market, I think this was seriously good value too!I have a Henry, as well, and expected to use the Shark for quick cleans, and go back to the Henry when I do the whole house! But actually, I hardly ever bother with the Henry now!

Totally awesome vac cleaner. To be honest, being a battery operated device I didn't thought it would perform that good. I got a small flat which has a thick carpet on 80% of it's floor surface (something I really hate - I hate carpets in general cause they attract too much dust and they are a pain to clean, a British favorite apparently). The Stratos (not the Lancia legendary rally car), does perform! it cleans well and a full charge lasts to do the whole 1 bedroom flat. For larger houses you will definitely need more batteries.What I really like about the Stratos is the intelligent modular design philosophy it has. You can use it as a hand held vacuum cleaner with the provided long nozzle, or attach the floor device that cleans beautifully any surface, including thick carpets. Very powerful although if you use it in full power the battery depletes very fast, the Clean Sense IQ feature helps save a lot of battery power while doing actually the job. Comes with a few basic attachments and more are available through Shark's website, should you wish.My only recommendation would be that the Stratos is not quite suitable for older people as it is quite heavy. Other than that go ahead and order one, you will be amazed.

Light weight, easy to charge, light flashes on side of battery, goes green when charged. Doesn’t quite do the whole house in one go, which isn’t a problem for us. Doesn’t stand upright on its own as the weight of the battery is the heaviest part, found it a bit annoying but getting used to it. Wish I could attach at least one of the extra bits to it, but no where for it to go. Not quite as powerful as my old cord hoover of the same make.Do like it adjusts to go under furniture and chairs and the smaller/handheld option. Best bit of all is having no cord and seem to get the job done quicker because of it.

Love it. You can trust the good reviews! Had a rather disappointing start in our quest for a cordless vacuum. Already owing a good quality corded version we just wanted something to make those quick-in-between cleans an easy option. With three back spaniels we wanted to have something we could just run over the kitchen floor with in seconds. Initially wowed by the reviews of a much cheaper, American brand which we'd never heard of, which has thousands of 5 star reviews we bought it thinking at £120 what had we to lose? Well , about £120 as it turns out. It was flimsy light weight and definitely NOT the suction raved about in all the reviews. Most odd. Still very confused and baffled by those reviews.Not this one. It just does everything like a dream.Pros - Feels solid, well made and great suction. The hadn't piece detaches at the flick of a switch making stairs a doddle. Love the intuitive suction - changes as needed between hard floors and rugs, light and heavy duty cleaning. Charge seem to last well. We don't do the whole house at a time now - just as and when needed as so easy - but I did a large kitchen, lounge (including Christmas tree needles); hall and stairs yesterday and only dropped from 100% to 60% battery power. Incredible.Cons - slightly heavier than some of the others, but certainly not uncomfortably so and this actually makes it feel more robust.

I have only used this a few times but currently loving this hoover. It's easy to use, has good suction & the compartment you empty is really simple to do. It's also much easier to store in my small hallway cupboard.

great value stick vacuum

I bought this stick vacuum because it has a Hepa filter and a sealed canister. Love it. The battery lasts long enough to clean my 3 bedroom house. It's a bit heavy but I love the Cleansense IQ when it tells you the area is dirty. I had to clean the sensor after a couple of weeks but that's was easy to do.

Powerful Vac

The media could not be loaded. I bought this to keep the area around my rat cages clean, because love to kick their bedding (hemp and wood shavings) everywhere, requiring vacuuming at least once a day, and my previous vacuum wasn't keeping up with what it needed to suck.No such trouble with this Shark though! It sucks up hemp chips and wood shavings like a champ! The auto-sense works perfectly and adjusts the power necessary in that area with no issues. It grabs up a lot of pet hair too, just as described.I've attached a video of some excess debris in the middle of a cage-clean today to show how well it goes!It also picks up and filters an insane amount of dust! Looking at my previous vacs, you wouldn't know how much dust was lingering about in carpets, on upholstery, curtains, etc. This Shark gives my air purifier a run for its money as far as dander and dust-filtering goes. The little air pod it came with leaves the air post-vacuum with a nice, fresh sent as well.The folding part of the tube makes for both easy storage, and a cinch for getting under anything that has a 90° angle, which is perfect for someone who has a back condition like me - no more bending and hunching and getting down on the floor! The main head also has a very versatile axis that makes it easy to manoeuvre and get into places that used to be fiddly or troublesome.I have extremely long hair that passes my bum and I swear I shed more than my long-haired, double-coated Pomeranian cross, but I have had zero issues with tangling in the vacuum head, which has been a blessing compared to my previous vacs, which have needed hair build-up to be chopped off the roll every few weeks.Quite literally, the only con I can think of is the tank size. However, that's no problem to me as my house is small and I have multiple bins about, so I don't mind emptying it as I go. The one-button empty mechanism is a blessing and I'm glad I no longer have to fiddle with the tank.All in all: amazing vacuum! Does everything it claims and exceeded my expectations. This is my first Shark and given many Dyson quality problems in the past, I don't think I'll be going back.Good job, you've converted me.
