5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the outlay. Does it all without the pain of subscription charges.
I told myself I didnt need to go mad, I told myself I didnt need an OBD2 scanner that did everything but the more I looked at this one the more sense it made to buy the best one I could afford as there is no point investing in a tool that kinda works them becomes obsolete within a few years. My Phoenix 2 only arrived a few days ago (a lot faster than the predicted arrival date) so I have only started to scratch the surface of what I can use it for but so far it seems to work great.I do my own repairs and feature them on my you tube channel (BTJustice) and with my 2009 Audi A4 and my Wife's 2011 VW Golf a good obd2 reader is essential. So far I have been able to clear the service interval on the Golf, diagnose a check engine light which turns out to be an auxiliary coolant pump and detect a fault with the oil level thermal sensor. On my Audi I have cleared a fault code left over from changing a lock module and an ABS sensor.I couldnt have done any of this without my Phoenix lite 2.Set up was simple, charge it, register it and then down load the updates via your wifi connection. The first time I connected it to the car it took me a while to get used to navigating through the menus as there are so many functions that it can take a bit of looking to find exactly what you need but once you do its pretty fool proof. The only issue I have so far is my driveway being too far from my house to connect to my home wifi so once the Phoenix brings up a fault code I cant access the code search function but this was easy to work around. The advantage of buying the full set up is that it really is a FULL kit. I work on mostly Audi VW group vehicles but with this scanner I can work on all other makes as the box comes complete with every connector and lead that I could ever want.If you are tempted to buy the better known OBD2 scanners that work from your phone, keep in mind that once you have a unit like this you dont need to be paying a monthly subscription to use it. Its worth the extra outlay at purchase as subscription fees will quickly add up and eclipse the cost of buying this kit in the first place.I certainly see myself getting my moneys worth out of this piece of kit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Topdon is an excellent product
This diagnostics tool has saved me thousands in garage bills and parts.I've used it for all sorts of issues on many cars and it's easy to use, very professional and covers all functions of car diagnostics.
3.0 out of 5 stars Arrived not working
The unit arrived and updated easily, when I first tried it the auto vin didn’t work and was unable to communicate with any modules. I tried this in a different car same issue. I contacted support and had to wait till Monday and they connected to it to test and confirmed it was broken. Received a new machine which is still hit and miss if the auto vin works. I have to unplug it and plug it back in. Then it is all working. Carried out some module coding and some actuation tests. Overall easy to use.
1.0 out of 5 stars It most certainly DOES NOT do what it says on the BOX!
I puchased this, to me expensive tool 2 years ago for simple odd DiY jobs mainly on Volvos. Described as being suitable for Amateur/DiY use. I have to tell you that in that time I have spent hours trying to get it to function. I have discovered that if purchased through Bolo, there is no direct support from within the UK but only from China. No mention of that when I purchased it. I have lost countless hours trying to get it do even simple tasks, it wont even put the EPB into and out of service postion. Helpful chap at TopDon UK told me it was not supported but that I needed a different lead, That has not worked. ALL I can do with it, is to establish and delete fault codes. Useful in itself but my phone does that quicker. Now I find I need to take out an annual subscription for over £400, what planet are they on???? For AMATEUR use????Recently, stupidly, took on a TopDon TopScan, much less expensive but no more effective.Fortunately in most cases there are work arounds
5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommend this diag tool!
Honestly I didn’t realise this diag tool was going to be as good as it is! This has helped me out no end already. My snap on diag couldn’t diagnose my fault yet using the individual module test I managed to easily find the problem. Definitely well worth the money! I can’t recommend this tool enough!

Excellent piece of equipment dose everything I need and more still lots to try but so far so good 👍 😊 👌
Professional features for a DIY price.
I’m a professional technician and use full featured scan tools every day. I hear to keep mine at work but still need a tool for home use. I’m chose this one due to the experience I have with the Phoenix plus by TOPDON. I was blown away by the power of this tool. Not only do you get oem specific codes you can also get live data. On top of all of that the live data can be graphed and It can even graph multiple pids on the same graph. This scan tool is a steal for the price and the best part is the LIFETIME UPDATES. better buy one before their sold out!

Alles was man in der Hobby Werkstatt braucht
Also nicht einfach blind herumprobieren.

Awesome unit for very reasonable price
I have used many different OBD2 scanners over the years, but this one is by far my favorite. Besides just finding any trouble codes, it also decodes them for you and tells you what they mean! You can generate diagnostic reports and save them on the unit itself, plus it will email them to you. It will also graph tons of different values and plot them in real-time on the screen. The touch screen is great - it looks and feels much like a smartphone. And it even comes with free updates for life! My unit updated to newer versions of several modules right out of the box, so you might want to start with the Update function first. This is an all-around solid OBD2 diagnostic tool that looks and feels like it should cost much more than it does.
