This Sony lens is a cracker, fast and super sharp at all apertures, incredibly light weight and compact, fast silent AF, really close focus. There are no downsides, even the price is reasonable. Get it.

Im not a camera professional, but this is brilliant for vlogging.It goes down to F1.8 which means you get a decent bit of background blur if you bring the lens super close to you but it also means that you get decent performance in lowlight situations.That 11mm Lens is like a 16mm at APSC which is super wide to get everything in frame which is really dope to use. Also, because its so wide, it helps counter act camera modes which include a crops such as using active digital stabilisation on the Sony ZVE10 or using 4K60 on the A74.Its so tiny and cute too! Brilliant little lens!

I bought this mainly for video with FX30 but it works well with A7iv too.That camera automatically knows it's an APS-C lens and goes to that mode.Stills are great too it is easy to get good bokeh to isolate subject from background.If you want an ND the 55mm is so much smaller than most FE lenses it's probably best to buy one for it, I think it is so wide it may 'see' some step down set ups.I actually just bought a B+W 3 stop ND8 rather than VND which in my experience are rarely problem free unless you sepnda fortune.

I have the 16-55 G and wanted a high quality ultra wide to accompany it. Image quality is disappointing especially considering the price and the fact its a prime lens. The 16-55 is pro quality but this is too soft for a prime. The Tamron 11-20 is better with the flexibility of a zoom range and excellent colour rendition .

Questo Sony E 11mm f/1.8 è diventato subito uno dei miei obiettivi preferiti per APS-C. Leggerissimo e super compatto, ma con una qualità d’immagine davvero notevole. Ultra, davvero ULTRAangolare, super estremo, ideale per vlog con autofocus veloce e silenzioso, ma anche per cose più casual.Sulla mia Sony ZV-E10 funziona alla perfezione: campo visivo ampio senza distorsioni esagerate e una resa cromatica molto naturale. Costruzione solida, ma senza appesantire la fotocamera: ideale per setup portatili e gimbal.Lascio parlare qualche foto.
Using it on Sony A6700
Superb vlogging lens....i use it on Sony A6700 and so far almost a year later.....i can definitely say ..if you know how to handle camera settings, this is a crazy vlogging & landscape photography lens. It has its own OSS & if camera has inbody stabilization (like mine).... footage would be smooth !! Wish it had a bit zoom haha
